I liked the recent Ross Edgley (swam round the UK), seemed a very down to earth enthusiastic character.

Watched Joe's podcast last night and he had on the wrestler Jake 'the snake'. Bloody Nora, he has been through some tough stuff!

A 12yr old girl gave birth to him after being raped by her mother's other half!

Also some great stories of his time with Andre the Giant in there as well.
yeah!!!!
The Jake the Snake one was an eye opener wasn't it. holy st!!!!

It was a shame the Ross Edgley one just turned into a massive MMA chat

  1. 1202 with William Von Hippel, an Australian psychologist [it doesn't matter who it is or their subject, they all end up interesting...!]
Going on about how humans evolved and how that affects us now.

This one was an excellent listen with some really fascinating theories about evolution - I didn't think Von Hippel sounded even a little bit Australian though, Googled him and whilst he works in Australia he was US born and raised....

Is that the truth or are you just trying to persuade me...? wink

laugh

I'd imagine the fact I even felt the need to post that reply at all says all it needs to say and backs up plenty of the theories detailed in the podcast...

Just finished "Jake the Snake" this morning, what a guy! Very enjoyable podcast despite how dark it got at points.

Hopefully give William Von Hippel a listen to next after the above comments.

A personal favourite other than already mentioned is the Tim Kennedy episode (#1117) hard as nails and some good "Hunting Hitler" related stories too

Just finished the Jake the Snake Roberts one. Wow, as someone who never followed WWF it was certainly an eye opener.

One thing that frustrates me is that they often refer to pics and videos which obviously don't come across on the podcast. Does anyone know where I can find the links they are talking about?
