great season, its shame tony is leaving, will be interesting to see who replaces him? the mi6 agent or that women from the FBI or someone else, the woman from the FBI does seem rather odd to me and perhaps she's actually CIA or NSA but we will see. Its also a shame that when tony leaves, senior wont be in stories either, he was always very good and added an interesting dimension. I think palmer is growing well to fill duckies boots when he finally wants to retire, when ever that may be.
Its nice to finally see the end of trent kort and know the real story of ziva/tony's friendship

They've both got contract options for next season. The plan was for Diane Neal (the Coastguard agent) to join, but she went on a twitter rant and like Cote won't ever be invited back.I reckon itll be both of them or theyll swap in every other episode or something.
Is it me or has Mcgee lost loads of weight?
shame that Ziva got bumped off, i did think that maybe she is hiding out somewhere and was going to pop up at the end, but i guess Cote's ego got to big though does anyone know the real reason for her leaving?

I've noticed his weight goes up and down throughout all of the series. IIRC when he first appeared he was a little round in the face, healthy, then a couple of seasons in he appears quite gaunt like he's suffering from something that's stripped all the weight off him. He seemed to lose that look after a while, but looking at later ones (I'm almost at the end of S10 on 5 USA) he's looking thin again.techiedave said:
Been watching the latest series and if you approach it with an open mind:
.
The standalone episodes are really good. The "new" forensic girl isn't as annoying as Abbey got to be and the cast seem to blend well.
It was a pleasant surprise to watch a block of these.
I'm eagerly awaiting its return to UK screens, I suspect around January is when it will be back .

Genuinely can't remember where I am up to on S17, have seen the first 4 or 5 something like that.
The below spoiler is safe if you have seen the first couple of episodes in S17, although public knowledge didn't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it.
There are rumours or a return for Michael Wetherly in S18, to tie the Ziva/Tony story line. Personally I like the idea of them working with Bull at some stage and having the whole "You look just like him" conversation
Also I am not how much more the program has left in it, I would like to see an all cast finale season of some description but given that Pauley Perrette left under a cloud having fallen out with Mark Harmon and the Producers I think it unlikely.

Mark Harmon is nearly 70, how long can he realistically portray Gibbs? The below spoiler is safe if you have seen the first couple of episodes in S17, although public knowledge didn't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it.

If he was to retire, that would be the end of the show, a fitting ending perhaps at some point.
and as for your spoiler
I can't be the only one who really didn't get on with Bull as a show? I think we did S1 but then soon into S2 realised it wasn't doing it for us? My wife would love for Tony to return in NCIS though.
I normally wait for the season end and then import the US DVD and watch it through but decided to have a look at the Wiki episode list for S18. Covid certainly played a part again, hence the reduced episode run for a second season, but given the content of those episodes and how S18 ends, could they be aiming to use S19 to set up some changes, then use S20 as an end point for the original show?
Apart from a couple of main characters going this season it seems they really committed to writing out a few of the occasional appearance / background reference characters too. Although, nice touch with Pam Dawber (Harmon's real world spouse) being introduced as a character as a clever way of managing acting bubbles due to Covid filming.
Although i will admit, you do wonder how much further they plan to go with the original setup as it seems in late '21 / early '22 they're starting up another spin-off NCIS : Hawaii - which will just happen to use all the filming / production facilities that did Hawaii 5-0 until it ended in '20. As much as i also like LA & NOLA, another spin-off seems to be pushing it a bit now tbh.
