I mentioned earlier that my Samsung TV will not allow me to watch Freevee content, so I am currently at my girlfriends house and have just watched the first episode on her TV.
Have to say I really enjoyed it, it all felt so familiar...and was good to see William Devane.
It never occurred to me till after it was finished that there was not a single ad break.
Bonus!

Finally finished Series 7 and totally gripped.
Had a taster trailer of Bosch Legacy and can't wait to get some free time to continue.
I'm new to Prime and so far Bosch and a few stand alone movies have made the subscription well worthwhile.
Apart from a few PBS America documentaries, Walter Presents on Ch.4, Bangers and Cash and occasionally Question Time I watch very little terrestrial TV although Beck has had some good reviews reserved for catch-up later.

Watched the first 4 episodes on Prime here in Canada, no Freevee here, and no ads on our version of Prime, so it's all good. Bosch the original series was absolutely my favorite thing to watch amidst all of the junk TV and crap that most streaming services offer. So this series had to be good and so far it mostly is. Criticisms are the theme music, which is awful and forgettable compared to the original's utterly appropriate and well-produced "Can't Let Go"; the Stephen Chang "Mo" tech-whiz character, which strikes me as a convenient but cheap plot device to let things that can't realistically be done get done, like too many other series also use; and I've never been a big fan of the Honey Chandler character, so it is unfortunate she is playing a key part here. Unlike others, I don't mind Madison Lintz. If you reflect on her role, she began as a 15 year-old in S1 of Bosch and was pretty sunny and positive, but then went through a series of traumas that changed her. The character we now see is reflective of that. All we need is for J. Edgar, Lt. Billets, Chief Irving, and the Watch Commander to pop in occasionally. Enjoying it very much so far.

It’s making me want a lifted Cherokee with spacers it just looks so cool and amazing attention to detail. Did the book mention the car?
I’d have one even though I’ve a Grand Cherokee. I’m very impressionable.

Think it was a bit of a junker
Titus Welliver was on the Rich Eisen show recently. He talks about Bosch, the new series, as well as his other work: Deadwood, Sons of Anarchy etc. He's a good impersonator too and does a great Al Pacino.

Well I was looking forward to watching this yesterday...but my Samsung tv apparently does not support a Freevee subscription.
There is no solution to my problem so I have just taken delivery of a new bedroom tv (previous one wasn't smart) so I will be able to continue watching Bosch Legacy from episode 4 onwards. Two birds with one stone.
