Yes, the story is that Paramount made a movie based on one of Bosch's police cases and he used the money from that to buy the house.
In the books, ISTR that fictional movie starred Matthew McConaughey, who played Haller in the actual Lincoln Lawyer film

The movie was based on a earlier case he worked on pre haller if memory serves me right

Yep we , as in you and I, discussed this on page 12, almost a year ago now.

Apologies for quoting myself.

For example season 3 main theme followed the plot of the book The Black Echo, yet in season 1 and on Harry explains how he owns this amazing place up in the hills being from payment as a movie was made about one of his old cases, movie name was The Black Echo. Wtf.
There is even a movie poster for The Black Echo up on the house wall.

More apologies for rivet counting.

Back to Legacy, as usual the show has various layers which intertwine. Even the name Legacy, Bosch himself suffering the ups and downs, hindrance and help from his time in LAPD, Maddie also as a rookie experiencing the highs and lows of being part of the Legacy. Honey C likewise and so on. Oh yes, theme tune is fine.

Wonder if any of the old school crowd who've not had brief appearances will get cameos in S2, or should it be season 9? hehe

Irving? LT? Jimmy Robertson? Rondell Pierce? Can't think of any others.

Is Ep 10 the final one of this series? I was expecting at least one more as Maddie has disappeared.
(Not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion)

There’s S2 planned which is why S1 ended the way it did.

She hasn't disappeared,it ended with her at home and the attacker hiding in a cupboard ready to pounce

Have steered clear of this thread until completing watching all of Bosch, which I did last night biggrin

I can’t say I immediately enjoyed Legacy as much as the ‘main’ series, I think maybe it was the lack of interaction Bosch has with the broader range of characters perhaps (and the soundtrack!)

I am not keen on the tech guy character either, seems a bit of a cliché.

Shame to lose the hillside house too as that was one of my favourite bits of Bosch - that view added Michael Mann vibes to the whole series.

Really enjoyed Bosch as a character overall though, was a great series with a certain ‘vibe’ not seen in other cop shows. Titus plays the character really well, having also started reading the books it’s hard not to just see him as Bosch when reading.

I didn't see her at home. Why didn't she open the door instead of him kicking it in?

I reckon there are two maybe three options, either has been abducted, or she is hiding inside somewhere, the perp is also still hiding in wardrobe or made his escape when Harry arrived.

It didn't cross my mind he'd abducted her, I'm expecting Bosch to find her in the bathroom or on the floor.....the guy's a rapist isn't he ?

I was left with the impression he had abducted her as he was ramping up his MO and maybe because of who she is (he was Googling her earlier on).

Or maybe she busted him just before he attacked and ran out after him.

Guess we will have to wait - abduction would ramp up a better story line for Series 2 I guess.

Wasn't helped by them including the strangled the version of 'The Lincoln Lawyer' storyline they started then too quickly resolved, or by making quite a significant change (or two) to the main story they did go with which they managed to drag out, and which wasn't interesting to begin with.

Biggest issue is Netflix haven't let the stories be messy or dirty enough in the way the film was or the Bosch series are. For a dodgy lawyer he's a bit too corporate!

We really enjoyed it, easy watch and yes, not as edgy as the film...but then, I've not read the books and have little 'invested' in the characters so its just another enjoyable if formulaic TV show to me.
