the next time somebody tries to mug me I must get me oldboy out and start playing with it ,it is clearly enough to distract the hardest of men.

Binged Banshee over the past few weeks and watched the final episode last night - cracking stuff, really enjoyed it.

Unless there's anything else out there worth viewing, it looks like Preacher could be the next box-set to gorge on.

Really enjoying S2 compared to S1

But not quite sure why Cassidy is there really, I'm sure his time will come but he just seems like a waste at the moment

Also I didn't realise Ruth Negga and Dominic Cooper are a couple in real life

Got to say, this series really isn't grabbing me. Just remembered I haven't watched it for two weeks.

In a massive plot twist, next week's episode won't feature Herr Starr being violated in some way rofl

This series is basically straight from the comic, the first one as a made up 'prequel'.

I'm enjoying it, not perfect but Herr Starr makes up for the imperfections.

Herr Starr is the best thing in it at the moment.

I remember the actual plots of the comic being different but the general arc is the same. Bit disappointed the all-father wasn't as fat as the comic.

Enjoyed the first season yet this has very quickly become a chore to watch, such a shame but so many other things to watch why suffer

Herr Starr is great hehe . I haven't seen the original comic, didn't know season 1 was a prequel to it until I saw it here. So I don't know how far into the comics this season is and how many series it would be to the end. I've liked both seasons so far though.

They're not really following the plot of the comics at all, other than the overall arc being that God has left heaven and Jesse and crew are searching for him. They are using a lot of the characters from the comics in the show, most of whom are reasonably true to the versions on the printed page.

Overall the TV show is watchable and very much does its own thing with the story but I think that having read the comics has meant that I enjoy it less than I should because I keep expecting something closer in overall feel.

Just started series 2.

Really enjoying it. I think fans of the books should just try and view it as a separate entity completely. Any film/tv adaptations don’t work if you want to see a similar plot or characters as you imagined them.

The book is your interpretation whilst a film or tv adaptation is someone else’s. Just enjoy it as a tv series.

I don't read books/comics so I just see this as a TV show and I have enjoyed it.

All a bit quiet in here, especially after the final episode.

Thoughts?

Some nice humour throughout but a bit underwhelming for a season finale IMO

Roll on S3 though thumbup

Great news.

Saw that the other day, thought it was just an add for series 1.

Watched it yesterday.
Good, but not spectacular start to the new series.
Some interesting looking bits in the credits.
