Game of Thrones - vol II - NO SPOILERS
Discussion

The simple words are very clear - where there is a thread title that includes "no spoilers", don't post them. That covers one thread in the first five pages of this subforum... This one.
As for your reply to the other poster - people like discussing things when they've seen them. It's fresh in the mind, where multiple broadcasts are available such as the 2am and 9pm ones for GoT it gives people discussing the first showing the opportunity to look out for stuff in the second (or on demand), etc.
This is the only subject in this forum where it's such an issue, and yet there is an easy solution, that's been used multiple times.
It's very odd, and seemingly unjustified.
But it does have them & yet still people insist on being dicks! As for your reply to the other poster - people like discussing things when they've seen them. The other threads in those pages aren't based on series that could be spoiled, as they're shown live at the same time each week, they haven't suddenly had a scheduling change where they are shown at 2am & then the 'original' time.
It isn't the only show that has this issue. Westworld did to name one, the Walking Dead does iirc (not one I watch so not sure), and MAoS but that has a clearly labelled US and another UK thread now too.
If you go back further, to before the seasons have ended, you'll find plenty more with the rule in place!!

You're showing some of the examples I originally referred to - there's no good reason for there not to be a 'spoilers allowed' thread, yet as soon as someone starts one it gets closed down and a ban issued.
This is the only show where that's the case. The argument that it's because mods like the show and don't want it spoiled doesn't stand the logical test, as it's incredibly unlikely that every mod is a fan of the show or cares.
The current approach clearly isn't working, so perhaps we should try something that seems to work for other shows. Definition of insanity and all that.

You appear to be under the impression I'm supporting spoilers in this thread, I'm not. I agree that people posting them here are dicks - yet there are valid reasons to wish to discuss at the point of viewing rather than waiting for the 'PH official' screening, which is often with this show and it's many leaks days, weeks or even months apart.

Not in the slightest!! I apologise if I came over that way. You're showing some of the examples I originally referred to - there's no good reason for there not to be a 'spoilers allowed' thread, yet as soon as someone starts one it gets closed down and a ban issued.

I agree, I see no reason fir there not to be one. However, all those that have been started have been deleted for GoT. This was not the case for Westworld however. As I said earlier, I can only guess the reason is because the OPs had already pissed the Mods off.

Agree with that, the drama about spoilers could be easily avoided by having one separate thread which allows them to be posted, dont see why that isnt an option? As for your reply to the other poster - people like discussing things when they've seen them. The most sensitive in this thread always say how easy it is not to post spoilers (Which I agree with just to be clear), but surely its just as easy not to open the other thread which contains them.

I think the tv show media apps have given up holding on, ep 6 is now showing on 'showbox' android app, I'd expect it to filter to kodi soon too.
Bet HBO Spain & Nordic got a kicking for that cock up.
As I understand it the error was upstream of them, the video supplied to them was incorrectly labelled.Bet HBO Spain & Nordic got a kicking for that cock up.
Right, I've started a spoiler thread. Pretty sure I haven't pissed off any mods, and if they really don't want to moderate it to avoid spoilers themselves I volunteer to uphold the rules if they give me limited mod powers on that thread alone...
Hopefully it allows this thread to be the main conversation, whilst giving people a pressure relief valve to talk about the epicness at the point they watch it.

Uh oh....
So we're away for the next two weeks. In Menorca.
I have NowTV but of course it won't work over there.
What are my options? VPN? If so can anyone recommend one? or recommend other options please?
I've got a NowTV box and also laptop...
VPN would work fine with the laptop, I have used Private Internet Access for a year in the past and it worked pretty well for watching iplayer and skytv etc, you just choose the country you want to connect to and it was pretty cheap. So we're away for the next two weeks. In Menorca.

I have heard tunnelbear is good too so might be worth checking this, just be careful of the bandwidth limits if you are streaming high quality stuff, see if there is an unlimited option to avoid it cutting off half way through an episode due to running out of your allowance
