When they sent Gendry off for the marathon I was half expecting to not see him for another four seasons.

Out of interest, how did the ravens and dragons achieve warp speed? irked

A good episode on the surface but it's starting to look very sloppy when you look a little deeper frown

That's it.
The depth was what put GoT over other programmes of that ilk, but now it's tuned into Chronicles of Shannara, or Gears of Wars game

Yep, exactly. That's what made The Wire so good also. Still very good, but not longer great.

Oh and what about the flaming swords?

Filming apparently starts in a few weeks, so I'd imagine scripts and shooting plans have been released to cast and crew...

Lucky they'd been carrying all those chains with them too, just in case.

The decision to go North of the wall to catch a wight to "convince" Cersei was unbelievable stupid. It was also mystifying how Jon is supposed to know they could survive on that island until help arrived.

However just a quick point in terms of distances the show has already told you that their Westeros is smaller, but people keep referring to it in book distances.

In the books it is 1,500 miles from KL to Winterfell as the crow flies. In Season 1 Cersei says it is a thousand miles by road, and a months travel. Given that the average distance travelled in a month by a large party with wagons in that era would be considerably less than a thousand miles then that is probably an exaggeration rounding up.

If show Westeros is actually half the size of book Westeros that would answer many of the complaints about "teleporting".

I want to know why the NK had to touch the Dragon to reanimate it; he's only done that to turn the live babies (that we've seen).
Dragons are "fire made flesh" so it would be logical it takes more effort to "turn" them.

Didn't spot that, but then my missus was banging on about going to Alton Towers CBeebies land with our son, shut up woman GoT is on, I don't chat to you whilst you're deeply engaged in Made in Chelsea.

I did spot the Wight's eyes turn blue just as he let out his call before being gagged though.

So the Night King can warg into swords now too?

And lucky the ice supported all those zombies, and their chains, and a dragon. Not long before, it was breaking under the weight of a single zombie.

And how come they stayed down when they first went inter water, but could then bob back up again closer to the island and then walk down to the bottom, wrap chains & drag the dragon out ??

A lot of loose ends were resolved with some great humour dialogue between the wolf pack members. Jon and Jorah, Gendry and the Brothers.

Killing a WW does kill his undead hoard and when the hound kicked the undead, they all screamed in unison, so the connection is quite deep. Though we'ed lost Tormund. You have to wonder if Tormond is ever going to get together with Brienne, he wants her for who she actually is and she deserves that.

The idea I want to shoot down is that LF is succeeding in his plan. He is not, his plan is to be King with Sansa at his side. Jon, Dany and Cersei are barriers to that. This is why he has been trying to drive a wedge between Sansa and Jon previously and now Sansa and Arya. Sansa still sent Brienne to KL despite the LF warning, so deep down she still trusts Arya, otherwise she would not have done this.

Arya was playing the game of faces/truth and lies with Sansa. So she knows that Sansa is telling the truth, yet she continues with the game. Why we might ask. She is coaching the Sansa in the game, the same way she was coached. She is helping Sansa recognise the lies she tells herself and that others (LF) tell her. The Catspaw dagger was the reward, but it is also returning a huge clue to Sansa. It is like last week, Arya's game was so far above LF he just doesn't have a clue about how dangerous she is. He thinks the danger is her mad fighting skills, but it is not, he simply doesn't see he real skill is infiltration field craft.

Dany saw Jon's chest wounds from his death wounds and they are still raw, over two years later.

Daenerys tells Jon how she can’t have children, however we know she was 'reborn of fire' so perhaps she can have children. We then see her ask "Do you understand". She is setting out more than an alliance and saying he is her equal. Dumb as ever in such things, he largely misses the point I think given his response, especially dumb after Jorah all but gave his blessing during the long walk. Also just before she leaves she looks down at the wounds on his chest. I think a coupling must be on the cards on the return trip before Bran get puts a spanner in the works.

When the hound points at the arrow shaped mountain, that is the place is where the NK was created by the children of the forest. This explains a lot of the questions as to why he hasn't marched south yet. It is a place of power to gather his strength.

Is Arya going to go to KL with Brienne?
It gets her close to Cersai with little bother.

We seem to have forgotten about Uncle Pirate again and are sailing around unhindered.
