Of course, if Qyburn had found a way to harness WildFire as propellant to make projectile weapons, and the Scorpions used that in multi-barelled gatling guns to fire dragon-piercing rounds then fine. That could have been quite cool actually.

It's all the Danny fans up in arms. People were expecting a happy ending where Jon and Danny fly off into the sunset i.e. they haven't understood Game of Thrones at all. If they had they wouldn't be surprised at how it's ended up.
Yep! It’s like they watched a different show The thing that has kept her from her worst impulses were Missandre, Selmy, Varys & Mormont & she’s lost them and Jon!
Pretty decent dissection of how the characters from the show are not the characters from the books.

think this is mostly about Jaime/Dani obvs. Book Dani was fierce from the start but mellowing in DotD, maybe wasn't getting her head meddled with by...who knows?

None of the northmen seemed bothered by the killing of innocents at all (by their sword or a dragon).
Do we have any guesses how many died, or will it be completely random like the Winterfell battle?
Like the shock at Dany turning into a bit of a bh, a few people have mentioned raping northmen as though the shades of grey should no longer apply to the "good" guys. Do we have any guesses how many died, or will it be completely random like the Winterfell battle?
Basically anyone who isn't a Lannister has been on the receiving end of a kicking during the war of the Five Kings- the Mountain and his banner men were raping in the riverlands and burning fields to draw out Ned- he ended up killing northmen instead and ever since, everyone's been getting some. Brienne was nearly raped by northmen and they took great joy in throwing her into a bear pit. Sansa was nearly raped by a random
People who assume that because "Lord Snow" seems a decent chap, that illiterate swordsman Joe Blogs of the feudal army sent down to die would be paragon of knightly virtue need a refresh on the earlier seasons. See also the sacking of Berwick, or almost any city ever.
Numbers will be interesting. What percentage survived Dresden or Hiroshima? I'm thinking 50% casualties and not a great deal of infrastructure left.
this is a video discussing possible endings. Don't watch if you'e not curious.

My bet, Jon to get into a heated lovers tiff with Dani about the razing of KL, that escalates and he kills her. Load of guilt, he renounces his right to the throne and buggers off.
Very few people left for the big seat, I originally thought Sansa but pretty sure she is back up North. Perhaps Tyrion but he has always been a follower rather than a leader. Arya seems to have disappeared so perhaps it will be Bran. A lot of stuff in the last 2/3 episodes indicates to me that he still has a big role to play but I hope not as it would be a bit crap.

Tyrion (or Davos?) stabs Dany to save an innocent life, Jon doesn't want to be king, Gendry hooks up with Sansa seeing as Arya isn't interested in him anymore. Gendry becomes king (as Robert's heir), with Queen Sansa pulling the strings. A reflection of Robert+Cersei marrying to unite the kingdoms, history is circular. Leaving Johnny boy replacing Ned as warden of the north, while Brando the builder starts a new wall just in case.

I wasn't referring to the fact they were doing a spot of pillaging, just that they weren't bothered by all the death of innocents. I.e. maybe the people of the realm won't really give a st that Dany roasted a city.Basically anyone who isn't a Lannister has been on the receiving end of a kicking during the war of the Five Kings- the Mountain and his banner men were raping in the riverlands and burning fields to draw out Ned- he ended up killing northmen instead and ever since, everyone's been getting some. Supposedly in 25 mins of the 432 minutes of this series. What a waste of a great character! Guess she didn't want to do it much anymore, or only agreed to one day of filming etc.
Built up as the big baddie of the entire series and then just dies in some rubble after doing nothing but smirk and look sad in her window. Very odd.

Yeah the southerners would probably care and the lords would freak out (the intended target, I guess), but the plebs of every other major town/city would see it as comeuppance. If she lowers taxes and lets them buy their own council house she'll be remembered fondly for a generation.

I found that awfully difficult to read Guess she did don't want to do it much anymore, or only agreed to one day of filming etc.
