Game of Thrones - vol II - NO SPOILERS
Discussion
What lords / seats are left in the south?
Sunspear - Was pledged - maybe will retract that pledge..
Casterly Rock - Needs a new occupant
High Garden - Needs a new occupant
Storms End - Has a new occupant aligned with Dany
The Eyrie will go where Sansa wants and Pyke was pledged, but who knows now (although they're not really south).

Supposedly in 25 mins of the 432 minutes of this series. What a waste of a great character!
Guess she did don't want to do it much anymore, or only agreed to one day of filming etc.
Built up as the big baddie of the entire series and then just dies in some rubble after doing nothing but smirk and look sad in her window. Very odd.
I found that awfully difficult to read Guess she did don't want to do it much anymore, or only agreed to one day of filming etc.

Other than that I thought it was fairly easy to understand.
TBF, Bronn would have absolutely no problem being labelled Queenslayer if the title came with a country pile. No chance of him ever being kingsguard though. For the same reason.
Despite the flaws of the last two seasons, I'm really looking forward to the finale. My main complaint, after all, is that there haven't been even more episodes and character moments and that the whole Dorne and Lands of Always Winter plotlines didn't get the time they deserved. But as for the actual battle to rule Westeros, I think it's been an incredible show.
I think it will end with some loose ends, like real history, but the way we can be literally one episode from the end with so many alternate possibilities thanks to the breadth of characters is testament to a great show I think.

Apparently HBO really wanted more...really wanted it, offered them pots of cash to stay and do the full ten. But D&D were adamant, they just wanted to get off in the shortest tie possible.Halb said:

I think HBO should have let some other team take over, who would be thrilled at the chance, rather than stick with what appears to be a couple of spoilt kids, impatient to move onto other stuff, stuff offered off the back of GoT.
And then we'd be having the discussion about how it all went to st and the original writers should have been allowed to finish it early. You can't win. I've had a few grumbles over detail- battle tactics etc- but I don't understand why anyone would be disappointed that their anticipated ending wasn't happening. A few episodes back i just assumed it would end 'happily'- Dany on the throne, some accommodation with Jon and probably Sansa, bad guys dead, token sacrifice of some good guys.
But, now, one episode to go, and I have NO idea how it will end. That seems a great position to be in at this point!.

I was going to post this earlier. By far the most scientific breakdown I've ever seen of a tv series.Interesting read though I felt it lost focus at bit at points, a bit like the series!glazbagun said:

I've been reading theories on Littlefinger, I know the show is less complex, but he is a devious lil st...
That army at Moat Cailin (if it is at Moat Calin)...he can't just turn it around, he doesn't really run it...so it'll be going North regardless?
It did occur to me that LF is as likely as anyone to know about the Wildfire underneath KL and, as mentioned, Varys did say "he would watch the city burn to be king of the ashes".That army at Moat Cailin (if it is at Moat Calin)...he can't just turn it around, he doesn't really run it...so it'll be going North regardless?
Short of the WW and maybe the Dothraki I can think of few who would care less about the inhabitants.
The explosion could have a more innocent explaination unrelated to the fall of KL, of course.

Not sure if it has been mentioned earlier, but has anyone else watched the behind the scenes episodes on sky? The special effects, stunts etc are fascinating. The scale and the cost must have been mind boggling
They certainly got a budget increase as it went on. In the first season they didn't have the money for the battle showing Rob Stark's defeat of Jamie Lannister. Or Robert Baratheon getting gored by a wild boar.Beati Dogu said:

Off screen in the books as well, which is part of the point really, books one to three translate very well from book to screen, and that was seasons one through four. Quite how anyone is going to make a great TV show out of the Wheel of Time I am not quite sure. They are going to need some great writers, and to take a chainsaw to the material, to even get it down to ten seasons.
Story telling like this...from season one
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=q6GW03WsFgU
Now we just get CGI Dragons, and CGI battles in season 8.

Great clip. Also points out the intricate nature of the KG outfit, the enamel work, I never notice that disappeared in the later series till recently. Maybe they changed wardrobe person or maybe they just forgot.
Back then the KG were good fighters, not queuing up to be killed one at a time like in the last ep.
