The whole series from episode two onwards was so terribly predictable, with us all just hoping that they’d pull a surprise that never came.

It fizzled out so weakly. No bam at the end. ,

Well I kind of liked the ending.

If you think of Branbot 9k as the baddie it really works.

When he said he was going to see if he could find Drogon he might as well have winked at the camera.
I wish he had.

....I have a feeling this is another aspect of the story that D&D have misunderstood...can't wait to read the book!

This season has been poor, I enjoyed that episode right up until the knifing then it was turgid st. The scene at the table felt like a crap SNL sketch, absolutely crap and a terrible way to bow out.

Wasnt the worst. Would have been better if it was spread over 2 seasons.

But glad its finished now.

Winter is coming.....and it's a bit bland, dark and grey....you know like a real winter.

It was subtle clue that the books were finished the whole time, they're due out in the morning.

I thought Sam's suggestion of a democracy was a nice touch. But Yara Greyjoy joining in the derisive laughter seemed a little incongruous since the Iron Islands do indeed vote for their monarch.
For me, that scene clanged massively. It's just after Jon murders Dany and the shock that delivers, the next thing you have is Tyrion frogmarched out and Edmure standing up making a comedy pitch to be king.

Ugh. Terrible, terrible.

As the Guardian live episode blog rightly quipped overnight... It's some parole hearing when the prisoner gets to direct proceedings and dictate who is king of the whole shebang.
