For me, that scene clanged massively. It's just after Jon murders Dany and the shock that delivers, the next thing you have is Tyrion frogmarched out and Edmure standing up making a comedy pitch to be king.

Ugh. Terrible, terrible.
Shock? That was the most telegraphed thing of this series. Was anyone surprised that she died like this?

watching it a second time, it was a bit better, bit sad too.

Jon, Arya and Sandra all separate. WInterfell has no-one else in it that lived in the first 6 or so series.

Well I kind of liked the ending.

If you think of Branbot 9k as the baddie it really works.

When he said he was going to see if he could find Drogon he might as well have winked at the camera.
I wish he had.

....I have a feeling this is another aspect of the story that D&D have misunderstood...can't wait to read the book!
What book? We may get The Winds of Winter but to produce A Dream Of Spring GRRM will need to live to 90+

Bronn was Ja Ja Binks, so his story was irrelevant

Azor Ahai was dealt with when Jon stabbed Dany.

The rest was fan-fiction-satisfying bks.

She sailed off into the sunset. She literally sailed off, westwards, into the sunset.

What a bag o' ste.

Did anybody feel even the slightest emotional connection with anything that happened in that episode?

Still, it's over and done with now. I actually enjoyed the rest of the season. Sure it wasn't as good as it was for the most part but it was better than the dragon icing episode, so it could have been worse.
