I'm common as muck but surely everyone in the country knows what a Jaffa cake should look like?

Indeed. Not my cup of tea, because I don't like oranges, but I was astounded that so many of them didn't know what it was supposed to look like. It looked a simple thing to bake.

F*ck me but those mirror cakes looked good. I would have eaten even the rubbish ones.

Liking the double entendres this time. The only other thing that surprised me was Paul saying that poppy seeds were one of his favourite things ever, not much too them Mr Hollywood

Did I hear Mary say she didn't mind eating carpet? Is that like rug-munching?

It was a bit of a WTF moment!

The programme after, Chronicles of Nadiya has been very good showing a rarely seen Bangladesh and for once a positive view of a Muslim woman.

Love the innuendo laugh

Must admit laughing a bit when the gingerbread constructions kept collapsing..

Considering they knew in advance what the challenge was going to be, and had practiced, I found that ridiculous. Nearly all of them attempted something too complicated, and had barely enough time to complete the task. Odd when they should have already known.

I suspect they all worked fine in a dry home at room temperature, which is very different to a hot and humid tent in a garden.

There was a point when Scott Mills "Innuendo Bingo" excluded GBBO ones because he was convinced they were just doing them on purpose, though they're back on now.

They have to be doing it on purpose. Maybe it started out as a joke between Mel and Sue to see how many they could get away with before Mary or Paul twigged or something like that?
