In other news....sausages.
I'd wager that's not the first time Mary's had a big black sausage slapped into her palm and been asked to feel the weight.

At least she doesn't pout so there's a plus.

Mary has confirmed she isn't going to Channel 4 when the show goes there, not sure they have got value for their millions!

Are the show's creators guaranteed this huge sum of money that has been quoted, or do they still have to create the show and get it contingent on viewing figures/numbers of series created etc?

That will be hidden under commercial confidentiality, but it would be ironic if there were such clauses and they ended up with less than the BBC offered.

Meanwhile Hollywood has announced he's signed up to go to C4.

Now there's a shock. He's the only one of the 4 presenters who has no principles. Smell the money.......

I imagine he had quite a strong negotiating position so the bag of cash must have been quite large.

Hollywood is the most important of all the presenters and I think C4 have offered him a pay rise of significant proportions, so why wouldn't he stay on.

Mel and Sue are mere garnish and will be easily replaced, hopefully with people that are funny.

Let's be honest, Mary is getting on a bit and probably fancies putting her feet up.

I wonder if they'll offer a job to Candice. If not I can think of something she could do.

I think people seriously underestimate the importance of all four of them as a team, if they put someone like Oliver in there it's going to crash and burn, guaranteed.

This. Anyone who thinks they can be 'easily' replaced does not understand the viewing demographic of this show.

Top gear all over again. Will fade away into obscurity.

They've truly bought a tent. It'll be a different show from now on. I see Jamie Oliver has thrown his hat in the ring...

Had some discussion at the weekend that some people at Channel 4 had dropped a potentially (likely) career ending bk by making this deal, and not just because of the price or because they seem to only have a tent and Paul Hollywood.

The fallout will be interesting.
