Smith and Sniff, guaranteed to make you look like a loon as you grin and belly laugh your commute to work.
Yeah they've really found their groove with it now. I found it a little forced to begin with but the last three or four have been very funny biggrin

Thanks also for the Motorsport podcast heads up as well, enjoyed a few of them today. Jaysus Patrick Head can talk though!

I'm a big fan too. I regularly find myself laughing out loud at them. I also tend to drift off to peruse the classifieds for a bit after listening to the latest S&S.
On the motorsport podscast I like the spod they bring in every now and then when there's something incredibly arcane and dorky that needs clarifying. I picture him crouching next to the mic with a pile of books, ready to pounce with the compression ratio of the 1977 March XP34 when the opportunity presents itself.

I started on this one but their ramblings on F1 were atrocious, like listening to the worst moaners on PH on your morning commute. They really didn't have a clue what they were on about.

I just tried this (albeit a different episode) and largely agree. Lots of moaning that normal family cars aren't lightweight drivers machines.

It just seemed like the primary motivation for the podcast was underlining and reminding us what proper hard-core wheel-men they both are.

Not sure whether this one has been mentioned, for boxing fans, but Boxing Life Stories with Tris Dixon is excellent. The longer form interviews he has been doing recently are much better and absolutely fascinating. Just finished the Mickey Vann interview. What great guy!

It's been recommended a while ago but I really recommend Smartless.

Jason Bateman, Will Arnott and Sean Hayes bounce off each other really well. All very funny, very clever guys, and they like each other enough to be very insulting to each other. A guest is there to provide an approximate focus, but it's mainly them tearing strips off each other. Very funny.

Wind of Change

You don't have to be a fan of Scorpions to find this exploration of music, drugs, and politics absolutely fascinating

There is an intersection with the Deep Cover podcast too

James is getting worse imho. I’m getting fed up of the show being about him talking over guests and other people.

I used to really like it but there’s loads of episodes now that I’ve half listened to or got bored and switched off mainly due to James making it all about him.
I quite like it tbh but I know what you mean about them talking over each other. I think though the reason they do is that they are so passionate about the subject and also good friends too - they gel really well and are, imho, one of the most entertaining podcasts around.

For a WW2 history buff it’s a very welcome addition to podcasting, that’s very entertaining and rewarding with heaps of content. I have joined their patreon too (£6/month) which is well worth it with a weekly livestream which is normally quite a good laugh, revolving around talking and drinking or drinking and talking wink and free audiobooks/discounted books. The audiobook content alone is worth the £6 and in the last few months they’ve done some amazing books which have got me through a 400mile commute with ease.

The blindboy podcast, Irish comedian just emptying his head for an hour. Like a stoned mate chatting rubbish, is awesome to fall asleep to and drown out the missus snoring.

Gossipmongers has been ruined. No Poppy is rubbish, and to make it worse they’ve removed all of the previous episodes. Bizarre.

Apparently the two guys had her ‘removed’ via their management. They didn’t even tell her why to her face!

They then removed all the old episodes and changed all the artwork to remove all traces of her from history.

It doesn’t work at all without Poppy.

Unless there's more to this story, it seems very shoddy treatment.

Not to mention that the 'Gossips' were unrelentingly unamusing. A real shame, as the first series had me in stitches, the second wasn't as good, and it's been a slippery slope ever since.

Have to agree with that, series one and two were really funny, I only got through half of series 3 before they pulled them but it wasn't as good. There was always a lot of filler between the segments but it got ridiculous in S3, you could have halved the length of each episode.

David Earl deleted his twitter so I think he was getting a lot of abuse over it. Dick move though, like they were superstar comedians or something? I hadn't heard of any of them to be honest.

They are both in After Life if you have seen that?
