Ecstasy: The Battle of Rave is great on BBC sounds. Great memories (of what I can remember)
WHAT A PODCAST!Thanks for this, had a road trip down to london today (from cumbria!) and binged this all the way, it was absolutely fantastic. I was about 3 years too young for the acid house scene although we followed it avidly at school.
The music, the characters, the, err, tragedy.
Absolutely the best podcast I’ve listened to all year.
Honourable mention to Bunga Bunga too, great story telling so far

Bring Back V10's has released an episode on Montoya at Williams, Jonathan Williams is speaking on it.
I like the look of that. Cheers. I've just started listening to Gas it Out. Neil Hodgson and Gavin Emmet host the podcast talking predominantly about MotoGP but other motorcycle racing stuff too. The episode with John Hopkins is very good.

Just started this, shaping up to be very good. I've just finished a book called Altered State by Matthew Collin which is a factual account of the acid house years, also very good. Thanks for this, had a road trip down to london today (from cumbria!) and binged this all the way, it was absolutely fantastic. Have to agree with that, series one and two were really funny, I only got through half of series 3 before they pulled them but it wasn't as good. There was always a lot of filler between the segments but it got ridiculous in S3, you could have halved the length of each episode.
David Earl deleted his twitter so I think he was getting a lot of abuse over it. Dick move though, like they were superstar comedians or something? I hadn't heard of any of them to be honest.

In any other era this would have been The news story of the year, and yet I nearly missed it, and I consider myself fairly well informed
It could be considered 'Panama Papers - the sequel', because it is also a a collaboration with The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, and they appear to have used similar database creation techniques to manage to scale of leaked documentation
https://www.icij.org/
However, this is much more than one obscure company, Mossack Fonseca, helping tax evaders
No, this is major household name banks enabling the worst crooks and criminals, as well as Trump, Mercer, Bannon and the rest of the Brexit promoting far fright
"Oh just stop going on about Brexit" - you have to remember that the whole point of Brexit is deregulation, and specifically to prevent (imperfect) attempts by the EU to impose stricter anti money laundering measures, such as AMLD5

I Can't Believe It's Not Buddha - with Lee Mack and Neil Webster
Wanted to like it, but with adverts in the programme, plus the constant need to joke, it sort of misses the point (I'd have thought).
Will persevere.
Has anyone else found a good 'mental wellbeing' type podcast that they think is worth a listen?

it's not too heavy and I think both presenters are really good interviewers.

Only just realised there was a Confessions podcast with Simon Mayo. Used to catch some of the Drivetime show after work when they were on so happy to see I've got loads to work through.
Have found myself trying to disguise my hysterics from other drivers when out in the car.
Incredible how the BBC managed to catastrophically fk it up.
Does Simon still do confessions on scala?

One of my favourite podcasts. How Radio 2 let it slip through the net I'll never understand. Have found myself trying to disguise my hysterics from other drivers when out in the car.

I'm currently working through a podcast called Caliphate.
It's by the journalist Rukmini Callimachi (https://twitter.com/rcallimachi) and it's a fascinating insight into how ISIS came about, how they attract(ed) members and what life was like on the inside of ISIS controlled territory.
It includes interviews with former ISIS members and the last episode I listened was recorded on the front line during the battle to re-take Mosul. It's compelling stuff.
I never did get around to listening to Caliphate, possibly a good thing tooIt's by the journalist Rukmini Callimachi (https://twitter.com/rcallimachi) and it's a fascinating insight into how ISIS came about, how they attract(ed) members and what life was like on the inside of ISIS controlled territory.

They recently released a follow-up podcast about how and why they came to these conclusions about the evidence/witness which was pretty interesting too.

I’ve been listening to :-
13 Minutes To The Moon (via Spotify)
“ Epic stories of Nasa’s missions to the Moon. Season 1: the first Moon landing, Apollo 11. Season 2: the near disaster of Apollo 13. Presenter: Kevin Fong. Theme music: Hans Zimmer”
Probably a couple of days worth of WFH listening
I found it very interesting
