I’ve been listening to :-
13 Minutes To The Moon (via Spotify)
“ Epic stories of Nasa’s missions to the Moon. Season 1: the first Moon landing, Apollo 11. Season 2: the near disaster of Apollo 13. Presenter: Kevin Fong. Theme music: Hans Zimmer”
Probably a couple of days worth of WFH listening
I found it very interesting

I’ve run out of podcasts as I’m doing loads of running when there’s not much work on and listen to podcasts doing that.
I’ve even started listening to Russel Brand (under the skin) , I used to think he was a complete annoying plonker but he seems to have turned a corner after fighting drug addiction.
It weirdly soothing listening to him banging on about oneness and spirituality whilst running along. He does some great interviews also. I think most of his content is on some other casting service but he’s got some interesting (to me anyway) longer interviews with people like Brian Cox and Ricky Gervais etc

Something extra to look forward to after the current situation calms down is that Kevin Fong will have time to complete the follow up series. I've been holding off starting it until it was all ready.
I like his stuff, I think he did some travel type bbc shows a while ago also. For those who enjoy fiction, here are a couple to try, not sure if they've been mentioned:
Tracks – BBC conspiracy/medical thriller. First few seasons are very good, it does tail off a bit, but overall well worth a go. Great production values and cast.
The Message/ Life. After – hard to describe this, but another creepy thriller with interesting sci-fi elements.
Incidentally I've really been enjoying Smith & Sniff too. I don't really listen to car podcasts because I find them too lads lads lads but it's just good chat with two entertaining and knowledgeable people.

I don't have time to play compute games anymore and so I do so vicariously through How Did This Get Played?. It's good fun, mostly they play weird or just bad games but they also talk about some good recent releases.
Smith and Sniff are also well worth checking out for (mostly) motoring chat.

I’ve been enjoying Louis Theroux’s Grounded series of interviews on BBC Sounds.
Have just started ‘Grey Zone’ from Sky News.
All about the actions taken by governments/individuals that don’t fall just under the circumstances for declaring all out war but which might cause a country to be compromised in a variety of ways.
First episode focussed on the alleged Russian poisonings on U.K. soil and the fall out from this.
Very promising so far.

The new Jools Holland/Jim Moir (Vic Reeves ) podcast series is daft , but fun .
And what has happened to the Tom Clarkson 'Beyond the grid ' series ? Although Tom is no Jeremy Paxman , and a bit starry eyed , I have enjoyed just about all of his podcasts. But nowt since Christmas time.

Just finished listening to the excellent Catching Melanie's Killer.
A tragic true story about the murder of a 17 year old girl from Bath in 1984 and the subsequent 31 year police investigation to find the killer.
Great recommendation! Listened to it all in two days. . . there's another one in the series about the Skydive sabotage case. . . . that's next. A tragic true story about the murder of a 17 year old girl from Bath in 1984 and the subsequent 31 year police investigation to find the killer.

Binged during the week during back and forth from work. Interesting stuff. The government individuals clearly tip-toeing around what ‘we’ do. Certainly a developing area. The worst case scenarios played down a bit i think. In the future (how distant; unknown), likely a more effective weapon than the traditional weaponry.
