Rumours are afoot that No Time to Die may be released a week earlier on September 30th.
Just the internet chattering, though. No official comment on that.
1 whole week earlier. Score! I mean I'll be front of the queue but this has been a long wait. Just the internet chattering, though. No official comment on that.
I note Autumn Half Term for many in the UK will be Monday 25 October 2021 to Friday 29 October 2021, so clearly not linked to that? Or it’s deliberately avoiding half term so as not to have to compete with other key releases, possibly even from the same studio?
Maybe it’s based upon how early they think folk will be inclined to head back in to what cinemas may be left in sufficient numbers to be able to recoup at least some of the costs?

As Mr Big he had a great quote when he first met Bond. It would seems crass to quote it here now, sadly

It is a great quote, and your reticence in relation to it needs a I'm sure they thought it was terribly clever and benign back then.

Talking of which, I googled for a transcript of the film to refresh my memory, and was rather shocked to find that after Bond is rescued from the alley where he has been taken out to be executed, there is some dialogue involving a racial slur that would be simply unacceptable today. It was a pun linking one of the suits in a deck of cards (due to having just mentioned Solitaire's Tarot cards) with the number of black people employed by Mr. Big.
I'm sure they thought it was terribly clever and benign back then.
1973. Anything goes (or went).I'm sure they thought it was terribly clever and benign back then.

Should you have a pound or two kicking about spare, there's an online auction of memorabilia tomorrow, held by Ewbank’s in Surrey. Featured item is a rare, large (30"x40") Thunderball poster which is expected to sell for between £8k-£12K.

Skyfall (aka "Bond and M do 'Home Alone'") really irritates me. At one level it is the most stupid Bond film as Bond literally takes M away from all her security and backup in the name of protecting her and then fails to protect her.
Email the scriptwriters & ask for their thoughts . . . When Moneypenny shot Bond at the start she had time to still shoot the bad guy as well but didn't.
