I’m a huge Bond fan. Absolutely love them. I took the opportunity to watch them all in order again on Prime. Even though I have all the ones you can own already.
Watched them on the work computer while working hard over the course of a month.
I think QoS is a great film, granted not his best. But still really good.
I really enjoyed the Timothy Dalton era ones too, more than I remembered.
I really want to watch them all again. I spent hours googling actors etc as I was watching them.
Most fun film marathon ever.
I agree with others though NTTD was a superb film. But the ending didn’t sit well with me. The whole idea for me is he always gets away with the girl.
Eagerly awaiting the next instalment though.

I'm still not convinced by Cavill as Bond. Although when Craig was announced I thought he would be rubbish and I liked his films a lot.
Amazingly, this website still exists.http://danielcraigisnotbond.com/index/

I tend to agree. I also think he is a little old. He would be 41 before the next film comes out. And he’s been in Mission Impossible. However, they might think a diversion to taking a more well known name will continue to grow the franchise outside the UK.

Having seen him in the Witcher I think he would make a great Bond. If I had just seen him other roles I might think differently but he has great charisma and physicality in that role. HTP99 said:

Well Roger Moore and Peirce Brosnan were very well established by the time they got to play Bond, so I'm not sure that's a valid concern. I'd certainly heard of Daniel Craig before he played (IMO) the best version. But maybe a tad 'obvious'.
I'm still holding out for Scott Adkins
My two main points on the DC era:
1. Bond should have been in prison after the events of Skyfall. I know part of Bond's charm is going against the rules, lone wolf, doing crazy things. BUT he usually gets the job done and saves the world. His actions in Skyfall directly led to the death of a very senior and very respected MI6 Head of Department. He would have been on a wanted list for the rest of his life, or certainly 'encouraged' to retire at the very least. No more 00 status.
2. Bond didn't die at the end of NTTD. Part of the magic of film is that you can take away what you think and/ or believe. A very good example is the end scene in Extraction. My opinion is Bond was somehow shielded enough to survive and go into hiding. He knows his life as JB is over due to the viru- er, "nanobots" (will it ever be reinstated as a virus?) so he can't be tempted to see his daughter and he wants the world to think he is dead so he can retire or maybe even go freelance!
This could even be reworked into the next films; have his daughter and Madeleine killed off so he can come back or something. Or even a cur - er, "reprogramming" of some kind. I'd be happy with that.
But equally I'd be happy with some earlier Cold War era stuff too.
I've said it a few times on this thread but I still think they will do a present day and in the past movie next. present day will see the lady playing 007 and in the past will see a new actor playing JB, it will start with "let me tell you about James Bond" just how the last movie finished.

Very possibly. If it was just the Superman story then I’d be less suspicious, but The Witcher too…https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-6398...

Hasn't he quit the Witcher to make more Superman only to then be sacked off from that before even starting it?
Just been announced he'll be starring in a new Warhammer film https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-6399...I quite like Henry Cavill as an actor, but just can’t see him as Bond. My understanding is that he quit The Witcher because he was committing himself to a third Superman movie. However, soon after he agreed the Superman gig there was a change in the management at DC and he was no longer in their plans.

He has never looked comfortable in a suit.
But then Daniel Craig’s suits never looked comfortable. As for Cavill not being comfortable. Sean Connery wasn't either. Terence Young took him to his tailor in Savile Row had a suit made and then made Sean sleep in it till he was comfortable wearing it.
