I only really started to notice in the Brosnan ones, when it became so blanket, it distracted from the film...BMW badges everywhere
That might have been the point when the product became the most important thing in the scene. Poor Desmond Llewelyn forced to lovingly describe all the features of whichever car BMW decided he would drive in that film.
Do you think he described the 750il as a "seven hundred and fifty" just to deliberately annoy BMW?

From Russia with Love on tonight, Shean, a dubbed leading lady, Rosa Klebb and one of the most convincing bad guys in a Bond movie played by Robert Shaw. Oh and Spectre agent Mozeny who would later reappear as General Gogol in 6 Bond films.

There has been a lot of on-line discourse about which actor should replace Bond after Daniel Craig leaves.

To my mind let's flip it and give the role to the wonderful Jodie Comer.

She was so cold, calculating but adorable in Killing Eve.

Quantum would have been so much better if it had a menacing baddie. The Dominic Green character was just so week.

No chance. She's the wrong skin colour.

I will never watch a female bond. Unless they cast Idris Elba as Wonder Woman.

Quantum has improved over time I think.
Agreed; the first half or so of Quantum is not bad. It's when they went to Bolivia that it got dull for me. Apart from Fields, of course.
I've always liked QoS. It's so stylish. Yes the baddie is useless, but it has good action, a good car chase and lots of moody camera action. The flying over the lake at the start with the music warning of something coming then the immediate cut to the Aston at full tilt.

Thing with Gemma Arterton is she is insanely attractive but the flasher Mac and awful wig they made her wear really ruined the effect.

I love the opera scene where the scene from the opera and music blends into the gun fight in the restaurant and the haunting music.
I think the opera scene is great. Another good scene, in my view, is the fight in the hotel in Haiti, ending with with the guy bleeding out - miles from home, in a crappy hotel in a poor country, alone but for Bond who's not even looking at him.

QoS is one that I think (like OHMSS) will over time be appreciated and treated kindly by the fans and film buffs in contradiction of hysterical criticism and bandwagon jumping at release.

There are so many clever touches, like the way Bond sneaks his way into the opera and seamlessly blends into the crowd using only observation and initiative rather than a plethora of Q-branch issued equipment. Proper spy stuff!

Yep, Mr Slate. Sebastien Foucan was the crane-jumping guy in the opening sequence

No point discussing it anyway as the casting of a female 'Bond' has been explicitly ruled out by Wilson and Broccoli because it would then be a different character.

WRT the pics above the mask suggests to me a return of the Blofeld character as it covers the exact areas of the face where Christoph Waltz had his scars and the footage show him limping on his right leg as per his injuries at the end of Spectre. Oh, and it appears to be the stuntman chappie linked to earlier wearing the mask (there is a later picture showing him with it off).

I’m not sure if I’ve said it on PH previously, but I would like to see a film where he faces a female 00 agent as the main villain. Not necessarily Bond’s equal in a fight, but with all the skills to make her a serious threat. Perhaps countering Bond’s impulsiveness with cold strategic brilliance.
