After reading the comment here and on other forums, I have deleted season 7 part two completely from my Sky HD without watching a single episode. Doubtful I'll be back for Season 8, and I have 1-6 on BR and love zombie-related stuff. I cannot stomach the slow pace and poor script though, making the characters act in the opposite way anyone would act in real life, just for cheap effect.

All guns pointing and shooting at Negan's vehicle at the end, and missing, did it for me. It is no longer worth the investment in time. IMOHO.

not sure if we consider these spoilers from Sundays ep
so none of the significant characters died in the gunfight? not likely is it?

Hmm yeah not a bad episode and didn't finish on a cliffhanger...it's just will S8 kick off in a huge war or drag out another build up?

Also Rick seems to be fairly outnumbered now that the scavengers are with Negan? Where's all Rick's extra army going to come from? Oceanside? No idea!

Guessing Dwight will play a big part somehow...! My prediction of what would happen a couple weeks back was almost spot on, guess that's how predictable it's becoming! But yes im in for the long haul so will watch S8!

Another disastrous example of Rick's 'leadership' - he bases the whole plan on the 'heapsters' who he knows absolutely nothing about (except that they previously raided Alexandria without provocation, stole supplies, kidnapped Gabriel and tried to kill him), gives them a load of guns and lets them inside the walls ... and promptly gets double-crossed.

Except for a Deus ex machina resulting from the Kingdom and Hilltop independently deciding to come along and help and then showing up at exactly the right moment, Carl would have had his head bashed in and Alexandria would have been totally screwed.

I wonder how many of the haters on here are fans of The Avengers, or Star Wars or Batman.

IT'S NOT REAL GUYS! It's fiction. It's fantasy. Of course it's not always true to life, and there may be times when it makes no sense. The goodies always get to win. The only difference here is that they are taking their sweet time atbout it.

I think we all get that, but when you've invested a load of time in something which many people think is getting a bit silly, it's hard not to comment.

Fantasy should still have some semblance of reality, if it's based in the 'real world' with human characters, IMO.

But in reality, Rick would have been killed in Series 1. And series 2 and series 3, 4, 5 and 6. And again at the begninning, middle and end of series 7.

You wouldn't have heard me complaining about that. wink

STOP watching it then .

Really can't comprehend why people spend an hour each week watching something they hate then spend more time waffling online about , have you and the others here nothing else to do ? , head to the pub and have a pint instead FFS .

Cracking ending to S7 with a cracking shock twist , sets S8 up for much Monday eve fun.

S

Eh? I was hoping for more and generally enjoy the show. If I had known it was going to be such a bad finale I wouldn't of watched it but how could I have known? Odd comment.

And if he wasn't dead he'd be seriously disabled from all of the beatings, shootings etc and he'd also probably be very deaf from that time someone discharged a gun right next to his ear hehe

Some of the screenplay seems to have turned into farce.

The gunfight was just hilarious - the best bit being the group who approached Ricks group from the back, didn't even bother firing a single shot and then got mown down when spotted.

As already mentioned, the fact Negan managed to get driven off without a single bullet hitting him (or the tyres), despite the fact the people firing seemed to be pretty good shots the minute before.

The pregnant girl (who must be 18 months pregnant now and is still not showing), who held her pistol out while she went round the side of the car despite the rest of the group clearly having a view what was at the side as they were approaching it.

But best of all - the tiger. The tiger which, when let off the leash , ignored the most obvious threat (Negan about to raise the bat) and leapt on some poor old guy behind him who was doing nothing but holding a gun.

Last weeks was the best (and I'm surprised nobody picked up on it) - (p)Ricks love interest in the tree who couldn't hold the sniper rifle still at all (it was swaying inches each way) and yet, when seen through the scope, it was rock solid.

(p)Ricks character seems to have one expression now too - 'mopey sad eyes with a hint of confusion'.

TWD has run it's course for me finally. What started off as a 'wow this is interesting' is now like watching a dull drawn out game of chess, rinse and repeat.

I certainly won't be eagerly wishing for October or whenever to come around.

What I want to know is how the hell "the kings" group managed to get the horses in to Alexandria and round the back of all the houses with nobody seeing! Must be some horses to jump that fence!!!

I don't know where exactly Rick was when the King arrived but there is a 2nd gate from the aerial pictures, the main gate on this map is just to the left of where it says Maggie and the other gate is at the other end of the road next to where it says Rick's group.

Here it is from the outside, it might of course just be a crew access gate as it appears to be bolted on the outside, but then that might also explain how the King got in, and also how the Wolves got in. Walkers can't do bolts.

I was surprised that there were no friendly fire casualties. How the hell did the new comers from the Hilltop/Kingdom know who to shoot?

We all know it was built to keep out zombies but fk me it couldn't be any worse for protection against attack. Surrounded by trees with perfect view point for picking others off.

Well there were a lot of red shirt casualties again.

Considering how many have died in Alexandria and how empty the church meeting was to discuss the attack I think there must only be a couple of originals left now plus Ricks motley crew.

How did the tiger know who to attack? You'd think it would go after anyone it didn't know .. or even people it did, it's still a wild animal that's been somewhat tamed after all.

The whole gun battle was a bit of a joke - definitely way more 'A-Team' than 'Heat'.

Thinking back, Carol was the first to see the Wolves when they attacked Alexandria, she was looking out of her window of her house (Ricks group section on the right looking through the open gate) and the attacker came from the left, which is where the 2nd gate is.

It's no longer the riveting thing it was, but still very good. Yes, it was quite silly last night, but let's hope the ratings and criticism have shaken them up a bit.

I'm still looking forward to the next series, but not as impatiently as before.

Compare it to the mess that was Legion.
