How the hell they're going to fit these guys and the Avengers into a single film blows my mind, can't wait to see how they manage it. Drax and Iron Man could be great fun!
My guess is the Guardians, Dr Strange, and everyone else in the MCU will have a secondary roll, like Spiderman and Ant-Man in Civil War. Although I could be wrong. I would hope the writers can come up with better ways to construct a good story than anything I would think of.

I take it you've never read the comics which regularly feature 20-30 characters and sometimes even more going up against a galactic superbeing of some kind. All the characters have already had a decent amount of exposition and backstory. I think this will be fine tbh.

Doing it on film with a $1b investment is another matter. Marvel/Disney have hardly put a foot wrong so I'm confident they can do it, it's just difficult to see how it won't be anything more than a 'Civil War 2.0' with a ton of characters dropping in, I hope they have something clever up their sleeves.

I also wonder how concerned the execs will be about how many of the potential audience actually know all these characters, and whether they feel the need to re-introduce many (no matter how briefly) again. Despite the huge success of them I doubt a significant portion of the audience has seen all of the MCU movies, and we've still got two to go before Infinity War.

It could go all go horribly wrong on screen of course. I thought Avengers 2 wasn't that great as there was too much going on and the villain was very weak ( who thought a camp sounding robot was a good idea?) but Civil War with a larger cast of characters really worked for me even if some of the characters got a bit short changed in screen time. Let's hope it's closer to the latter and not the former.

Just so many nods and references to so many things. Will definitely need another viewing.

was great to the the original Guardians too, apparently there is a possibility of a film with them in and of course Stan Lee with the watchers (confirming he is one?), awesome!

Great film!
I never knew. biggrin

I think...I'm not sure, that I've read Infinity War 1 and 2 are not sequels in the traditional sense, and will feature different people in the films fighting this galactic war....like the Russians and the Americans fighting the Germans, maybe?

Pretty much on board with RLM here, the film is character based and I love it for that, it's more preferable to the Avengers stuff which got quite boring in the sequel. Had no idea the film ws so long, didn't realise that at all, it felt perfectly timed. I felt the beginning was a tad choppy, though I loved using a fight as a backdrop for Groot, fantastic perspective. Drax was good, as were the rest, the cameos didn't feel shoehorned and I was surprised at some of them, and enjoyed guessing the others. It's a pretty damn good film, I think GotG are the gems in the MCU.

Happened to watch Captain AMerica on the box too, and it's a better film than I remember, though the ending is typically bland-blah-blah-pew-pew like a lot of modern action films, but it's saved by that emotion at the end, similar to GotG2, but that didn't need saving.

Just seen it, was a great movie. Sequels are always tough but this one managed it.

This is absolutely brilliant. Shows that they really don't take themselves seriously! From the DVD extras
