What prices are people paying for Entertainment + Sport + HD? (i.e. Sky Atlantic, Nat Geo, Discovery, F1 but not Sky Cinema/Movies/Disney etc)
It's not the same but as a ball park mine is £78 for Fibre Max broadband, and their entire TV package.

We don't currently have Sports, but have just had a general mailer offering that for £20 a month (and Movies for £10)
Cheers! That's similar to what I just got:

The Value team were useless, said they couldn't offer anything. So went through to Retentions and they reduced bill from £60 to £36 for Entertainment, Sports, Boxsets + HD.

When I logged on to look, I was offered a special renewal discount that would increase the cost. Err, think I'll pass, especially as the term isn't up until August.

Value team won’t be authorised to offer you the best value. Retentions might as they’re the last resort. Pretty sneaky business practices really.

Is that a mistake? Surely the HD payment is for every channel whether you have them or not.

I did a quote yesterday as a new customer and there is only one HD now looks like Sport is HD by default, my package is from 16 months ago. I was about to ask why HD is separate at all but then I realised it's because they can charge a bit more that way.

Came out £5 less than I'm paying now but can't face an age on the phone and the circular discussions for £5

My contract is up and I'm paying a £118 which I want to reduce, can you just go on a rolling monthly contract or do they insist on 12 month minimum contract?
I reckon I can get rid of £45 worth I don't need,we watch Netflix and prime so much more now. Although I can't get rid of discovery and the great Q system.

Just recontracted on the phone. Total has gone down by 1 pence a month but it now includes Netflix and Disney +

Signature £21
Ultimate £4
Kids £3
Sports £16
Sports HD £2
HD £6
Disney+ £5.99
Sky Go Extra £0

Total £57.99

Also not paying Netflix £8.99 any more so overall, £9 cheaper and includes Disney+. Happy with that and only took 16 minutes on the phone including wait time. Less happy that she reminded me I've been paying for this for 19 years and 11 months eek

We have everything with sky incl phone and fibre all the packages and Netflix.

Once this deal is up we will revisit as We never previously had Netflix yet are using it more and more and can see it as a route to hugely reduce our costs.

How did you get this deal? Phone or online?

I've just rolled off an 18 month contract, which was "all in" for £55 a month. They've since introduced the signature package, nice was to pop the price up again. Now the contract is over it's £75 a month.

No matter what i do on the online config (i'm happy to lose movies), i can't get it below £90.... never mind close to my old £55

Phone. Look at the prices on offer for new customers then call and quote them that and eventually they'll match it. In my case it ended up slightly less. I think I had to choose the "I want to cancel" option otherwise it just told me to go online and hung up. Don't know if they have more people in the call centres now.

Online is just full price with no discounts. Their online special offer was more than I was already paying

I went back to Sky after they mithered me for a while and then offered me what I think is a great deal - I was missing live F1 too much.

All TV excluding movies, (Sport, Kids, Boxsets etc)

Full Netflix UHD (I was paying £12.99 for this)

Sky Sports including F1 etc in UHD.

A brand new Sky Q 1TB UHD box and a multiroom box.

I also bought a second multiroom box for £50 on-off.

£43 per month plus £10 install. I also bought a second multiroom box for £50 on-off.

The £12.99 Netflix saving makes this £30.01 per month for Sky which I was pretty happy about.

I still pay for Disney and Amazon Prime. All this for me to watch just F1, but the wife and kids are happy they can watch their crap again.

Dumped sky 8 months ago.
All I use now is prime and Netflix for tv.

Ok so I broke with F1 and use a good friends spare sky go slot to view that.
Besides that, never looked back.

We cancelled SKY TV completely, as we realised we now watch less TV since the lockdown than more, plus when we do, it's usually Amazon Prime TV.

One thing that grates, and has made me not want to ever re-subscribe to Sky is the fact that all the movies we purchased are no longer watchable. Not a big deal as I always buy tangible copies anyway in Blu-ray or 4k, but having no access to material you purchased is a little low.

Still, no big deal, the amount we spent on the monthly sub to Sky was quite high, more so when we factor in the fact that we rarely watched anything on it.

You can still access them. Sign into the Sky Store app and they should be there. If not, contact Sky.

Cheapest way to view them (if your TV doesn't have the app) is probably a Nowtv box.

Cheers smile

I did try Nowtv (TV does have the app), but like standard Sky, there was nothing worth watching or, at least, nothing we haven't seen before, to justify the cost.

So it's time to do the merry cancel/discount dance with the Sky call centre. rolleyes
Current contract for TV/Broadband ends in November and Sky's website/App just confuses me as to what 'deals' are available, especially as my 'package' doesn't seem to fit into any of their options, current bill is about £80 a month for TV/Broadband with a second box, F1, no cinema or 'other' sport, box sets, and various other 'stuff' I've no idea how they categorize. banghead
Really wish they would just send me a message and say, you've been with us for bloody ages, (over 10 years) we understand you don't like change, you never phone us up as you understand everything can be fixed with an 'off/on' cycle, we'll carry on giving you what you've got and here's a £10/month discount on last years price....rofl

As I said just above in September, price up what you have now as if you were a new customer. It will probably be cheaper than your current deal. Write it all down so you have the comparison when you speak to them and tell them that that is the price you want to pay. They'll transfer you around until you get someone who can match it but they will.

On the phone menus I had to pick the "I want to cancel" to get to speak to someone. All the others just said go online and hung up and their online "special offer" was more than I was already paying. I feel your pain and wish these companies would reward loyalty but none of them do so we have to do the dance. I also resent the new minimum term every time too.

This spurred me on to check when my contract is up. Part of it in November and part of it in December (odd). Gone from £81 pcm last year, to £85 pcm now and will be going up to £107 pcm. Online new customer can get it for £74 so I'll call to get that.

What happens if you cancel and re-join? Do they collect the boxes?
