The Grand Tour
Discussion
I had a couple of Amazon purchases arrive today.
You certainly can't accuse Amazon of not promoting The Grand Tour. It's a testament to how seriously they are taking their investment. I've been an Amazon Prime member since before Amazon Video was introduced, and I have never seen them put advertisements like this on their boxes - they have always been plain brown with just the Amazon logos (like the upper box) up until now.

See these all the time at work - always have to double take, as it appears the 3 middle aged former hosts of a "pokey" BBC Motoring show are plastered all over stuff arriving from Amazon. Like them or loathe them, you'd have to say they've done well for themselves.

..And if my own experience is anything to go by, in that larger box is 2 miles of packaging paper with a USB thumb drive buried somewhere within... One thing I still don't understand is why there's absolutely no mention of Grand Tour on Amazon Instant Video. You have to search for it and it really isn't that easy to find. The only way in is to search the "TV genres" section and then search "documentaries", which makes no sense at all.You certainly can't accuse Amazon of not promoting The Grand Tour. Unconfirmed reports on Twitter Episode 4 is from Rotterdam.
The fourth episode of the first series of the Amazon motoring show The Grand Tour. It will be entitled Enviro-mental. Filming for the studio segments of the show took place in Whitby in the United Kingdom. This is the second episode of The Grand Tour to be set in Whitby, following Arts, Opera and Donuts one week earlier.Synopsis
Clarkson, Hammond, and May attempt to create an automobile entirely out of sustainable materials, before putting their creations to the test in a green motorsport event. Also in the show, Clarkson is back at The Grand Tour test track to pit the BMW M4 GTS against the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, a car Hammond owns.

Fair play, I stand corrected. Less of a Grand Tour however if they just stay in Whitby every week Synopsis

Looking forward to the GTS, the eco feature has potential, as long as it isn't a re run of i_Hammerhead Eagle Thrust or whatever that electric car they made was called.

It's not without precedent to have two shows recorded at one location. "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" has been doing that for decades, if not longer, with an interval between the two episodes. Bargain Hunt film several episodes at one fair, and also several episodes at one auction.
It makes a lot of sense really.

It's hard to miss Amazon's big effort. There's adverts and billboards everywhere too. I'm also getting push notifications from Youtube when they upload a video. I'm not sure how that's come about as I've only watched their original trailer on Youtube. I'm not subscribed or a regular watcher.
