The Grand Tour

I'll get in now. I'm disappointed already.
I'm not really. I'm hopeful. I'm one of the masochists who watch it (albeit with a liberal dose of fast forward) in the hope it returns to what I perceive as the zenith of their capabilities. Which they won't because, I'm not remembering it right and because that was 10+ years ago and they're older, and more tired, and all the jokes have been done before. I re-watched the opening sequence to the first episode the other day and it is genuinely excellent. I then think to the celebrity death bit, or the faux military training and inwardly groan.
I have high hopes, perched aloft and waiting to be inevitably knocked down. In delaying the release of S2, I hope it's because they spent more time getting it just right. We shall see.

I’ve seen the trailer, and know with some certainty it will be terrible. I will however reluctantly watch then report my feelings of disappointment & dissatisfaction shortly afterwards on here. It is my right as this is a car forum, afterall.
awesome, looking forward to it strummerville said:

I'm not even going to watch it, just post how terrible it is and a waste of license payers money based on the snippets others post. It is my right as this is a car forum.
Seriously though, poor JC. He's got his knockers but he is a far more intelligent and capable individual than his persona portrays. The sad thing is, I doubt we will see him reach 60.
Read some of his stuff from the days he used to work for a living and you'll see what I mean.

The American won't be making an appearance on TGT season 2.
Story is on Jalopnik. Mike Skinner, the guy playing the American, had tweeted that he won't be part of season 2. Wished the guys well and just said his character was not developed as he was told it would be.
What was he hoping for, I wonder? The American won't be making an appearance on TGT season 2.

My other half managed to get tickets to the filming of TGT next Wednesday. The tent is currently at a secret location ... just outside of Oxford ... near Chipping Norton
Honest appraisal will be required afterwards Hoping they've realised the mistakes and sorted it. But if it's more of Episode 2 army ste or that god awful buggy 2 parter. They will be in serious trouble long term.

Absolutely, on both accounts! However I reckon there will be some non-disclosure forms for us upon entering the tent ... Hoping they've realised the mistakes and sorted it. But if it's more of Episode 2 army ste or that god awful buggy 2 parter. They will be in serious trouble long term.
