I think SIARPC is back in a more traditional way. Penn (from Penn and Teller) was talking on his podcast about how he's booked in to do it in the near future.

Maybe that was the idea all along, and the BBC lawyers messed up and the embargo was time-limited and now expired. smile

What an amazing guest that'll be rolleyes

They seem to be listening, which is great. But then afaik there no reason to have average guests! Get the good ones in smile

Penn's an interesting bloke with many great stories. I don't really know who qualifies as a 'good' guest though to be honest. It's always been a rubbish segment - Clarkson's a terrible interviewer. The fact that they're reviving it also suggests they've not got many new ideas or they wouldn't need the 10 minutes of filler it provides.

Looking back at old interviews, there were far, far too many BBC celebrities promoting themselves or the BBC.

The two stand out awful interviews I've seen recently are Amber Heard and Will Young. Clarkson flirting is not a pretty sight.

BBC stars on a BBC show is fair enough.

The new GT2 trailers look much improved. Could be a return to form.

Maybe it was amazon "we want Top Gear 2".

Now as "TG2" didn't really work they have more room to work.

Lets see.

Now if only they can get Alonso to try out a Honda and a Renault back to back wink

( Though I don't think it would happen, as Alonso still wants to do the Indy 500 )

That worked! It wasn't spelt out. It just happened and you had to think about the joke.

They may have made a good series!
