I'll be honest - I felt that latest episode was very much plodding along until that final piece came came on. Brilliant.

To anyone who moans about TGT, you could watch Dancing on ice, big brother, I’m a celeb, all the soaps, or any other prime time st instead.
TGT isn’t perfect, but I know which i prefer.

It's not binary, you know. People can watch that st and still watch TGT if they want.

Then, they might moan about all of it. And your head might explode.

The end of this weeks show was great, I love hearing about the old epics in the world of cars and Clarkson does it so well.

I would like to see him talk about Bugatti in the 1990's.

Good stuff.

You’re of course missing out all the great stuff on netflix and amazon tv. I don’t watch any prime time tv.

It’s not 1980 anymore.

I did until I realised it was staged, the blue LCR belongs to SEAT UK press fleet.
How many people think this was real and they just plucked a load of people from work on their dinner hour??
I enjoyed it despite realising fairly early on it was staged.

1. There were too many decent cars
2. There were too many competent drivers
3. "Binned it"
4. The finale had plenty of overtaking
5. Did you see that M3 drift?

Didn't stop me enjoying it and thinking what our work lunch time racing would be like.
That's been the highlight of the series for me, the driving was excellent, seeing those cars hoon it around that carpark was great fun. Way more interesting than the celebrity bits where they can't drive and aren't really interested in cars anyway.

That was brilliant.
Really enjoyed that, wish they’d do more of that kind of thing.

If it were real it wouldn't be entertaining to watch. Anyway, the girl driving the Abarth is also the girl that does the fast laps I believe - Abbie Eaton.

I always skip the celeb bit, but I even enjoyed the fuel silliness this episode, and really enjoyed the Lambo review and the ending piece big time.

A good episode finishing with a brilliant piece about the best era for rallying. I used to go and watch Group B but not seen anything live since it’s demise. Race Retro is my only indulgence now which brings back great memories.

I'm sure the girl they spoke to in the audience about hand brake turns was the one that won The Apprentice.

Just goes to show that they can do it when they try. For me the show needs 20% more of that quality and 20% less "Celebrity Face Off / pretend chat show".

Great episode. A bit too young to remember that era of rallying, so hadn't heard the stories before. Fantastic piece though.

If you're referring to the rally piece on GT, it's an almost identical cut-and-paste from a BBC4 documentary done ~5 years ago. And it's only about ~80% as good as the BBC one.
