I can see the advantages. However, I don't really buy much via Amazon and when I do it has free postage anyway. I also prefer the original channel concept of traditional TV. If there isn't anything I want to watch then it means I turn the TV off and do something else. But I've certainly noticed that there is less and less quality TV recently and I guess it is due to many shows now being on other media. If you study the advertising content of the freeview channels then you do get the distinct impression that the audience is clearly comprised of fat men, gambling addicts, alcoholics, women who can't stop soiling themselves, women who are constipated, idiots who want to borrow money at 2000%, people who are about to die and people incapable of walking across an office without falling over. I'm pretty much down to BBC4 and Quest these days.

I was chatting to a media buyer just yesterday and insisting that traditional TV was dead and that I even ENJOY watching some of the ads Facebook force down my throat because they are so well tailored to things I am genuinely interested in buying.He replied that 4 out of 5 cars are bought by 45+ year old men who can't get their tablets to turn on, let alone download the latest Game of Thrones.
It's going to be a long while before that particular avenue of advertising is dead.

Having said that, I did buy some Sonos speakers for various rooms a while back but my wife managed to launch the one in the bedroom at max volume at 3am in the sodding morning last week, which only served to remind me as to why I am very happy not yet participating too actively in all the modern media stuff.

You can pay £5.99 per month if you *just* want Prime Video, but you don't get any of the other benefits. Better to pay the lump sum of £79 for the year (which works out as £6.58 a month) as you get all the other benefits as well.

No. All you need is some kind of device that can either log onto the Amazon website and stream it from there, or else can run an Amazon Prime Video app (ie. most smart tellies, some Bluray players, etc) or else cast it from a compatible phone or tablet to some device that accepts casting on your telly. Or else watch on your PC if all else fails.
