Part 2 was up about 10:30 last night. It was much better than the 1st. I agree with an earlier poster that some tighter editing and that could have been one 70min type episode of better quality than two 60mins with too much padding.
That's odd, for me it still wasn't up at 11.45. I gave up and went to bed, will watch this evening.

I've got Sky too. I'm looking forward to the six nations starting, but this is my favourite thing on at the moment.

Watched both together last night and it was great the time seemed to fly over. Enjoyed seeing the Jeep I had one 20 years ago and it was a terrible ride but somehow enjoyable too.

2nd part was up by 11.05 for me not quite finished it yet.
Enjoyed the first part, found the ladder and some of the other more risqué bit amusing. Looked like Hammond was genuinely shaking after the bridge but they have strung it out a bit too much.

Hammond had "Prime" lenses
A prime lens is just a lens that doesn't zoom. Nothing to do with Amazon Prime.

Unless it was just an excuse to say the word "prime", I guess.

I'm watching part 1 right now and it's like pulling teeth. Utterly tedious, and the gay jokes are pathetic. The drug references are pretty weak too, and the less said about the donkey bothering the better.

Hammond's peril on the bridge did look genuine. As did May throwing a stone at Clarkson's windscreen. But it was just awkward rather than entertaining.

All very predictable and tired.

I thought part 1 of the special was pretty tedious. Part 2 seemed more watchable.

I agree that a combined 70 minute episode probably would have worked better.

loved the banter, jokes spot on, enjoyable episode, one of the best the boys back on form, loved the monster truck sound. Never get the moaning, too much nit picking by pedantics, can't please everyone.

Hammond had "Prime" lenses & I'm seeing Canon cameras
There were some clearly visible brand names, Canon and Autoglym amongst them. As others have pointed out, "prime lens" is correct in a photographic context.

If you’re watching this, you’ve got amazon prime and terrestrial tv and probably Netflix.

Are you honestly saying that you think this is better than everything else on all of those?
Jokes on you - I don't have Prime or Netflix, and I watched it.

I thought it was alright, not as good as Ep1, but just seemed like classic Top Gear.

I’m not sure what else you would expect from the show?

Maybe some innovation or new ideas?

But yes the show’s what you expect, I’m just surprised that anyone can think it’s the best thing available given the huge amount of varied and high quality content around.

Doesn't that depend on what else you have or haven't watched already, whether you want to watch them more or less than GT and on whether they're things you watch as a couple / family, or things that no-one else likes?

I may well have watched everything else I wanted to watch & if not, my partner wanted to watch together.

On that basis, it may well be the best thing available for me, yes?
