Now this show is coming to an end will anybody come clean and admit that for all the hype before it started it turned out to be a big let down?
I agree. Out of what? 35ish episodes? Probably 6-7 Id re-watch if it was on Dave.As above, huge budget, visuals from 4K. But like TG towards the end, the scripting was cack. And made 3 mates, look at times like they'd never met before.
Sorry if this has been asked before but can anyone who’s seen all the episodes give me a list of the best ones to watch? I just got Prime today.
I preferred the specials (Polar, Botswana) from the old Top Gear so would like to go that way but I’m happy to watch whatever is a consensus of the best episodes without wading through the whole lot.
Thanks

Well you cant be much of a fan with that attitude.I preferred the specials (Polar, Botswana) from the old Top Gear so would like to go that way but I’m happy to watch whatever is a consensus of the best episodes without wading through the whole lot.
3 series and 38 episodes....it must be such a chore to have to watch them all.

There is nothing wrong with the guy's question to filter out the crap episodes for the good one. Some of the episodes were a chore to watch.
40 hours of TV is hardly a quick catch up.

The only one I would say def skip out o the last 2 seasons is the last episode of s2 whee they try and carry fish some place hot. its stupid and terribly weak .
The rest have some merit for one thing or another
Inclined to agree with that. That episode in particular felt like a bunch of jokes they had written, which they then needed to find a task/setting for.The rest have some merit for one thing or another
There were some funny moments (the tank in James's car, for example), but it's one that I wouldn't rush to watch again.

Brief synopsis of each episode on Wikipedia to gauge what may interest you more - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Grand_To...I preferred the specials (Polar, Botswana) from the old Top Gear so would like to go that way but I’m happy to watch whatever is a consensus of the best episodes without wading through the whole lot.

Season 1 - episodes 6, (Finland) 7 & 8 (Beach Buggies) & 13 (Dubai) were the highlights for me.
Season 2 - Episode 1 (Switzerland - with that Rimac crash) 4 (Croatia) 6 (Jaguars in Colorado) 11 (Mozambique fish transporters)
Season 3 though - pretty much all of them are worth watching a few times.

Since the guy has taken 3 years to get Prime I assume he isn't one of the diehard fans.
I subscribed to Prime in advance specifically to watch The Grand Tour so that I could see every episode when it was released, just like I watched every episode of Top Gear previous to this.So I must be a die hard fan.

any idea when it's back ?
It's only been five months since the last run finished, so on their usual schedule it would be some time in the new year or early spring. Clarkson mentioned in a recent interview that they'd been filming new stuff, but gave no indication of broadcast dates.thegreenhell said:

They seem to run on a 13 month gap. I assume this is because Prime is a 12 month contract.ctdctd said:
Prime isn't a 12 month contract - you can pay monthly or if you do pay for a year, you can cancel and get a refund.
Yes, but a lot of us do pay it annually and I too noted the 13 month gap previously and speculated it may be part of the reason why. Still, I've kept it for all the other Prime stuff too
