Wow, there is no way this horse can get any dealer, yet still they flog it. Had high hopes for this episode, fool that I am, but that was a really poor effort.

Yes, a little disappointing. Some of the banter between them was quite funny in places but overall a pretty weak episode unfortunately (in my opinion).

...the piece on the SM almost made up for it, but then looking at a still picture of an SM for any period of time would make up for almost any poor programme. What a car

It was ok.

Only reason it was ok, is because it was just like an episode from on Top Gear. It wasn't like a 'Special' or the recent Grand Tour stuff, it was just a Top Gear episode where they do something a bit different, and it was fine at that.

I'll give it a go, it can't possibly be worse than the drivel that is TG.

I couldn’t have put it better myself

I'm going to give it a go, bearing in mind haven't even picked up on the latest TG episode yet. Apart from occasional good bits really struggling with this season.

Incidentally Telegraph reviewer reckons there's a TG episode on Friday, Driving Home for Christmas. Thought this season had finished?

Just watched it. Thought it was ok. Yes there are better GT episodes but it was more entertaining that the current TG.

French cars have always been `unique` to me. Design / looks I find them appealing, but I never wanted to own one. :-)

To be specific, Friday as in Christmas Eve. I just went looking for it on this evenings planner!

Just watched it on my lunch - it was OK at best, better than the boat episode anyway.

There's some laughs, some fun trivia and it's an hour of light entertainment, but It just feels a bit tired now.

I think the new top gear has been, most weeks, vastly better than the majority of the GT output. This new episode would have been absolutely panned had it been McGuiness and co presenting the same content. Really poor I thought

Like fk, wokeists and Guardian readers stay away, but I was in bits, great episode. I even came away liking the French... laugh

It was a bit like one of those hour long “themed” DVD specials they used to do when it was CHM Top Gear….as in not as good as a good episode, but still an enjoyable way to spend an hour.

For me, better than the previous lockdown episode, there was a degree more content to this one.

Not their best work, but certainly not their worst either.
