This year's Pixar film is going to be Cars 3. Looks better than Cars 2 already https://youtu.be/U1eQYk74R1g
Something to do with Lightning McQueen crashing out and then making a comeback against the next generation cars, probably EVs, that are winning everything.

I'm really looking forward to this and it looks really good - The story could be predictable, but we can only wait and see really.
I suspect I'll be dragging my kids to see this as I think I'll be more keen than them - Not unlike the Lego Movie where my daughter only went with me "because Daddy really wanted to see it"
A little more detail (if you ignore the extended talking) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xo0iwAn0GQ

Let me guess, he can't match up to the EVs and suffers a crisis of confidence. But the love of a beautiful Porsche helps him to turn it around....Something to do with Lightning McQueen crashing out and then making a comeback against the next generation cars, probably EVs, that are winning everything.
Cars 3 - Out 14th July 2017
Plot Summary - Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician with her own plan to win, inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn't through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing's biggest stage!
Looking forward to this as I love all Pixar movies and also because my little boy loves the Cars' movies.
Hopefully it's better then Cars 2.

8 out of 10 is high praise indeed.
Seeing loads of trailers and it looks much better then Cars 2.
Booked tickets for the weekend.
My little one has been waiting for ages to see it.
I did struggle to score it but can't explain why without spoilers. I'm not sure my son enjoyed it. 3 is quite a "grown up" storyline that may resonate more with adults.Seeing loads of trailers and it looks much better then Cars 2.

My son (he's almost 9) absolutely adored the first two, he had almost the entire range of cars and loved the soundtrack too (its still on the iPod in the car, we still drive around and sing along at times). I lost count of the number of times we saw the first, it is a fantastic film.
Will definitely be watching this over the next few weeks.

Going to see it with my son on Tuesday morning as his first proper cinema experience (I don't really count Peppa Pig a few months ago!). He is obsessed with the first two, so I imagine this will go down well too.
My 3.5 year old had the same first time visit this morning, bit quiet and over awed by it all but loved the film.Like his Dad.
Far better than #2, all about the racing again. Funny that there are so many references to #1 but barely any about #2.
Really enjoyed it, reminded me a bit of how Force Awakens is a bit of a retread of New Hope, as 3 is to 1 in Cars.
Cars 2 is a shame really because if it was a spin off purely based around a Finn McMissle story without Mater it would be a great spin off/Bond pastiche.

As an aside, driving to Nuneaton at the weekend we passed a Hudson Hornet, replete in the purple colour of Doc Hudson! A beautiful machine.

I grew up around allsorts of mechanical things especially cars
My dad was a mechanic for 60 years
Absolutely loved Cars 1
Bit of a car nut and I am 57 yrs young
Cars 2 not so good
Cars 3 back to the good old days a bit like Cars 1 really enjoyed it
But it is fiction after all
But I don't care what others think
Good Film
