Have not seen DC on TV for a while. He's looking old now (and a bit orange although it's probably a perma-tan given his day job).

Joe Essex must be an actor, surely?

I can't believe anyone could really be that stupid and still manage to function as a human being.

Is he called Essex so he will always remember where he lives?

I loved it when Ayoade told him off like a naughty schoolboy for fiddling with his hair.

Richard Ayoade good choice as a host, definitely got some good putdowns.

Unlike the choice of hosts for C4 Bake Off, turning to a disaster allegedly.

Also within the 1st minute had a dig at his obviously whitened teeth ,although looked like Scarlett has also had it done.

Also Ayoade caught him out right at the end when Joey instantly worked out they had gotten over 100

I really wanted to like this, as we all still watch the originals. however, 10 minutes into the second episode, we unanimously decided it was a complete crock of poo and deleted it and the series link from the planner.
Why rebooted series' have to include 'celebrities' I really don't know.

The only true Crystal Maze involves Richard O’Brien, anything else isn't going to be as good. Let's face it - between the randomness and his often barely concealed frustration with the contestants he's the one that made it work.

To clarify, is the new series entirely celeb based? Are there no episodes with just 'normal' people?

No doubt they will use the ones that are not "clever" enough for tipping Point smile
