While I'm pleased it's been saved It does highlight the problem of knowing when is the right time to stop. None of the really great comedies went on for very long runs:
Fawlty Towers: 12 episodes
Porridge: 19 episodes
Open All Hours: 25 episodes
Dads Army: 80 episodes
All of these have lines that have passed in to common usage, so great was their influence. Big Bang was truely brilliant for four, maybe five series but now it's rare that anyone has a good word to say about it. Let's just hope that 99 doesn't go the same way & they don't sink into a sea of mediocrity when everyone get $1m a show & a Producer credit.

That's what I love about Extras and The Office. Couple of series and leave it. Oh and Gavin and Stacey. Fawlty Towers: 12 episodes

Season 6 trailer was released a few days ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkcxorB9IbA
Starts early Jan 2019 in the US - no idea if E4 have the rights and, if so, when it will air in the UK.
Also, a reduced season this time - 18 episodes down from 22/23.
Toit!

I've just binged all seasons on Netflix, but I cant get season 5
Why is E4 so useless at on demand stuff!!??
Licensing costs probably don't make it profitable to have it on demand, even with the annoying way they monetise it. I think S5 is being shown in the evenings on E4 broadcast, you might be able to get via catch-up on Sky/Virgin is you have them. Why is E4 so useless at on demand stuff!!??

It's on erm... rarbg
Lord knows when it'll be on E4.
Anyway, I've seen Ep1 - I won't give much away, other than to say 1) it's very 'business as usual', in a good way
2) there is only on subtle difference with it being an NBC show now and not a Fox one, swearing, but it's bleeped. Seems Fox hates swearing, even bleeped swearing.
3) very slight spoiler
Jake / Andy Samberg has changed his hairstyle between series, but as E1 starts exactly where the last one ended, it's a contiunity error of sorts, if you really care about things like that in a silly 20 mins US Sit-Com

Am still working my way through them all (didn't realise there were so many) and I've just laughed myself silly at the beginning of S2E21 where Rosa is wearing Pink and they take the piss out of Boyle.
So far, watching this has led to some very, very late nights as I watch "just one more"

Whenever I'm bored or want to watch something lighthearted whilst having a bite, I'll put this on for the giggles and it never disappoints. The episode you stated I rewatched last night. It's brilliant. So far, watching this has led to some very, very late nights as I watch "just one more"
Boyle and Holt are my absolute favourites with Gina being my least favourite as she just seems to get more and more annoying with each episode (tolerable though )
