Car SOS - how good are their restorations?

I loved it!!
When Tim said that he didn't like them, I was expecting him to say that he loved them, but he didn't.
The pickup version was pretty neat, never seen one of those before. The one with the three bar grill looked odd, I've never seen that done before! The grill's on them always remind me of BMW 328's.

Did anyone notice the flatbed company name on the pax door as they arrive to see the Mondeo (3'30" in). Very funny and I thought they'd flash another shot in but it was just a fleeting glimpse as they jump out of the vehicle.
Going to watch further episodes more closely!
Similar on the Pop episode, different surname. Blink and you miss it! 😁Going to watch further episodes more closely!

The car wasn’t my cuppa tea. But it was a great episode.
A lot went into that build.
And a very deserving owner.
Tim seams to have calmed down a bit, he’s a clever bloke and doesn’t need to act the fool.
I always enjoy the programme, and this was one do the best for a while.A lot went into that build.

I wonder if Tim is encouraged (or even told) by the programme makers to dick about to add some ‘humour’ to the programme. It’s lame, and as you say he doesn’t need to do it; he’s likeable when he’s not mucking about.
Back in the 1970's a pal was building a Pop. Had a RR 4+ litre lump in the front and the entire body was hinged at the rear.
Have a pic somewhere, will try and find it.
Jimmy Duffy was his name, moved over to Australia IIRC, will be in his late 60's or early 70' now. Also had one of those VW Karmann thingys.

Watched the Rover SD1 episode last night, the voiceover said 900hrs to sort the bodywork
Seems a lot of hours
So did we. Random question, but anyone know where they filmed the police car 'chase' bit? It was obviously over here in Wales, but couldn't work out where.Seems a lot of hours

For some reason Ford only produced the three-slot grille for Anglias and quarter-ton Thames vans that were exported to the States, and only for one year (1948). The slots in the Anglia grille had chrome trim round them, and the Thames was just painted. When Tim said that he didn't like them, I was expecting him to say that he loved them, but he didn't.

Another stunning episode, amazing what the body shop guy did to repair the roof, unbelievable skills. The young guy who made the new SS trim was very good too. Always impressed by someone who can turn a flat piece of steel into a multi curved roof. At least Tim tried to arrive at a solution to the problem, don’t know if I would have been keen to let them spray foam all over my car.
Full marks to sir DJ appearing on film to surprise him in the theatre.
My wife worked for a Datsun main dealer when they came out I thought they were well made and equipped and nice to drive, reliable too as you would expect.
