Yes, one of the better ones, recipient knew there was something up. Didn't really know a lot about the 240K - was expensive when new, the reconned about a grand more than a Capri 3 litre. After all the trouble to make a concrete buck, the panel beater said he hadn't really used it....
Wonder how much David Jason got paid for the cameo role?

I don't mind the silly bits of the program, but even my wife asked what has David Jason got to do with anything in this...

I’m not sure if I’m missing something with the datsun but didn’t the reg number change ? Was the earlier shot with GCY1W the same car ?

I wondered the same thing. Maybe it was a private reg and he put it on his regular car? It's currently saying it's on a 2016 Ford Transit.

When Tim said that he didn't like them, I was expecting him to say that he loved them, but he didn't.

The pickup version was pretty neat, never seen one of those before. The one with the three bar grill looked odd, I've never seen that done before! The grill's on them always remind me of BMW 328's.
For some reason Ford only produced the three-slot grille for Anglias and quarter-ton Thames vans that were exported to the States, and only for one year (1948). The slots in the Anglia grille had chrome trim round them, and the Thames was just painted.
Cheers, great knowledge!! bowcool

Yep, his face didn't change at all when his name was spoken by David Jason at the cinema.

A cool restoration but the blue and silver looked naff imo (he likes it though etc) The ladies one was a nicer colour, apart from the gold front grill.

Agreed. Thought the colour scheme was poor. I friend had one 30 years ago and it was in maroon with a black vinyl roof. Looked quite smart.

They did show "Gaz" hammering a sheet of steel over the concrete buck, but what happened to "Mustang Sid"?

Enjoyed that, lovely looking car and the roof afterwards was perfect.

Would hope that David Jason just did that for free, can’t imagine he is hard up.

It seems odd to me, Datsun already had the stunning (in my eyes) 240 Z, why have a competitor to its own car in the Skyline C110 and 240 K.

I know looks are subjective, but IMO its forebears were a lot better looking.

Nissan Skyline 240 K

The ‘Kenmeri’ C110 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Nissan Skyline III (C10)

Add to this Datsun putting on hold the GTR program from 73 – 89, as a result of the global gasoline crisis and a move towards stricter emissions. The Skyline of this era, was just a warm GT.

I ‘m not surprised, not may remain.

Happily, not all good things come to an end.

Thought the gaps on the sills and wings a bit of a dodgy giveaway.

Still enjoyed the programme though, apart from silly soaking crew with a hose, idiot, that would not have motivated me working in damp clothes.
