I can imagine (unless financial issues) they will never sell that car it’s been part of the family and now gives the joy of memories with him whenever they see it or go for a drive in it.

Going to the car 250,000KM and all internally it needed was exhaust valve seats re ground. Given it’s naturally a car that would be driven hard it’s testamount to the engineering of it.

It was a very well done episode. I was there on the day with about 25 other integrale owners and their cars. It was a great morning and very emotional. Tim and Fuzz were both really appreciative of people turning up and chatted with all.

I don't normally get all fired up on personal number plates, but that one's cool.

Very sad episode

I like Tim and his odd humour, plenty don't, but I thought he was a gent in this episode showing real empathy to the family

Had a bit of a shock watching the Integrale episode. Only realised the new series started so I put it on catch up tv. When Stoke was mentioned I sat up as it’s my local area and then I saw the yellow Delta. I knew of only one in Stoke that belonged to a guy that lived in the adjacent street to where my girlfriend used to live.

I always used to see it parked up and always commented to myself how lovely it was. I had to do the morning school run one day and the Integrale was parked outside the school with the owner sat in so I went up and had a chat. I need no excuse to natter about cars so we chatted for a bit about car stuff and the Integrale in particular. He said it had a few rust issues namely on the front wings but it was otherwise in decent nick. After that always exchanged a nod or wave if we saw each other but not that often as I lived out of the area.

We moved a few months later then again a couple of years down the line so rarely went through that village so I had no idea the owner had become so ill.

Just seemed like a nice car loving bloke and I was a bit taken a back he had passed away. I know it’s just tv entertainment but I think the show did a fantastic job on the car and really came across as genuinely caring for the family. Hope I see them about one day to tell them how I bored his socks off with car talk for 10 mins as he probably wanted to get home smile

RIP Gary.

Power steering disconnected and all lights n/w. (The exact wording may differ slightly but that’s the gist of it)

I wonder if it passed an MOT at the end of the restoration?

I think it would be for the best if they sold it on to a genuine Lancia enthusiast.

Obviously I have no idea of the family’s financial situation but if they needed to sell it, a very hard move, then I wouldn’t have a problem at all with that at all.

Wow, that was a shocker, so sad.

Apart from the tragedy, Great telly.

Integrales are one of the best looking cars ever, not many cars can carry off yellow like that, magnificent.

From .Gov site
Reason(s) for failure
All position lamps not working (1.1.A.3b)
Power steering disconnected where it is standard fitment (2.3.3a)
But passed in the same day with just 5km difference on the speedo - looks like they've nipped it back to the garage, rectified the faults and resubmitted straight away. wink

Sidelights fuse blown.

Considering the amount of work that went into the car to get it back on the road that would be an easy thing to overlook or not have adjusted correctly.

Yep agreed - brilliant TV.

Agreed. Poor chap had been gravely ill for many years by the looks of it. I’m sure the car would have put a smile on his face at was was evidently a difficult time for the whole family.
