People are just talking about the parts they did and didn't like. No harm done.
Oh, I have no issues with that at all. What I was commenting on was people who say "Top Gear should ditch this, do that, do more of the other", and I was merely pointing out that there is plenty of YouTube content that fulfils their criteria. sandman77 said:

Sabine has had quite a bit of stick in the comments here but I like her too. She seems enthusiastic and fun. I think it's good to have a woman (and European) on the show, not just for the sake of it but someone who has credibility as a driver and petrolhead.mx-6 said:

Christ on a Ducati! Are people still trotting that out (despite overwhelming ginger-haired evidence to the contrary) as a justification for putting people with bad TV presence on TG?It's the same reason why the overwhelming majority of sports people are terrible sports pundits - there is very little correlation between being a driver/car fanatic and being a good presenter on a car-based TV show.
Sabine is now a spare part in the show. They already have a surfeit of capable drivers on the team, and their principal one has been seriously underused since Chris Harris came on board.

Ditch The Stig and send him 'home' to the TGT - both shows would benefit in different ways.
Have Sabine set the Lap Times on the TG Track.
Include in each TG serious car test a lap of the Nurburgring with Sabine driving. CHM TG never did that and Ring times seem to be resonant and useful...amongst the youngsters at least.

There's a definite logic in that, and I'm sticking to my hunch after the screening of the first episode of this series that the BBC have an eye on offloading the Stig trademark to W. Chump and Sons to offset some of the loss of revenue from TG since steak-gate.r11co said:

but Sabine isn't being used as a presenter on TG. They are just getting her involved in some driving pieces and a bit of studio chat here and there, which is good in my opinion.
Fair enough, but what is she adding now to the show that they don't already have in spades? Sabine at the 'ring has been done to death by TG and Fifth Gear, so why did she pop-up in a three-car video game segment when they already have three presenters (+1 faceless driver)?I'll repeat the point - there's a reason why a competent production team would keep Sabine's previous appearances on UK-based car related shows brief and infrequent. I strongly suspect that once whatever contract Evans got her to sign has expired we'll see nothing of her again.

^^ Let's hope this weeks sleb guest is not too good at either TV or driving - or they'll probably be one of the new presenters for the next series.
Well, they are a good driver, and has presented at both national and olympic eventsr11co said:

For me Harris is the star of the show, I really like his reviews and car geek personality. He's clearly more at home behind the wheel rather than chatting in the studio, but those are the bits I tune in for. I quite like Le Blank and Rory as personalities but I don't value their opinions on cars in the same way.

Utter, utter fool. Colin Furze has finished the mental motorised dodgem for the Stig - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGr0oifJMEI
