Edd is back, with a YouTube channel where he visits incomplete DIY projects and helps them out (yes, ok, Car SOS).

The new series of WD is really very good. Ant is a truly talented mechanic, whereas Edd is most at home fillering over rust and bodging to sell on. Anyone could do what Edd does (which was the point of the show), I don't think you can say the same of Ant.

I recently caught an episode of the show, and Ant seemed completely interchangeable with Edd. Almost as if they had got an actor in and given him Edd's script.

I don't mean that in a disrespectful way to Ant - I am sure he is very talented - but that's just how it felt to me as I watched it.

Thanks for posting the link to that Edd China video. I thought it was very good and an enjoyable bit of TV. A nice concept as well. I hope it is a success for him. Very refreshing to watch a TV show about cars without the the pathetic fake drama of a pair of queens.

He did seem a little out of place in a domestic garage without a lift and professional tools. The segment on getting the engine mounted - it was interesting to see the use of a jack and ratchet straps. I thought it was good - but had the link not been posted here I'd not have been aware of it.

yeah, after watching some new WD, he does give me an expression very Edd act. Not saying the new WD is bad, but it just feel like a Edd with another face and voice
yet, I understand what Edd mean by disagreeing with the new show direction, not a bad direction and I like both
