Tremors is legit great film, not a so bad it's great film
It really isn’t. The dialogue in Hudson Hawk is pretty good, pre cursor to Last Boy Scout - equally bad.
Personally I love Starship Troopers
Tremors, STarship Troopers, WIld Geese, these aren't bad films, by any stretch. A 'b' film isn't a bad film. All of the above are well written, exceptionally acted and have strong coherent plots that deliver on excitement, satisfaction and twists. ST is even a pretty savage satire, so subtle, that the lead didn't know it was a satire.
a crap film I love, Casino Royale. It's a crazy hallucinogenic 60's mess of a dog's breakfast, but I find it endlessly entertaining

Warriors - not sure this belongs in thus thread. ...
It doesn't. Finally saw this at the start of 2017 (thanks Film4) and immediately couldn't believe that I had let decades go past before finally viewing.Absolutely holds up, and captures the claustrophobic feel of crossing unfriendly territory, trying to get to safety in pre-mobile / internet times.
I was surprised at how well it holds up, aside from one scene played for laughs (speeded up) which wasn't funny (one of the gang member's demise).
I present:
1. Under Seige - terminally crap but executed well, and Steven Segal plays it completely straight, adding to the unintentional hilarity.
2. The Chronicles of Riddick - a Vin Diesel production (common theme) that is an excellent Sci-Fi film criminally overlooked because it is a Vin Diesel film. Captures the feel of the Riddick universe, with good special effects, set-pieces, and mostly good, if slightly wooden, performances. Also stars Hulk smash period Thandie Newton (would smash with the force of a 1000 Hulks)

They tried it with The Expendables and somehow made it incredibly boring
the problem with the expendables was they took it/themselves too seriously. Enjoyable but crap/low budget movies mostly don't take themselves seriously, e.g. try for introspective moody character, they just have a laugh so you get behind them.AppleJuice said:
