Very different to the previous Thor films and I like the direction it's gone in. Good setup to the Avengers film too with the first credit scene.

There are also 2 scenes within the credits.

Watched it last night, very funny film but...

possibly too funny for its own good, it was hard to take any of the more serious moments in the film as more than an interlude between the jokes. Such as the way the Warriors 3 where unceremoniously dispatched without a second thought or mention (or the lack of Sif).

Korg was the stand out character for me though from the first word he spoke smile
I'd agree with that. Good film - but taken one step too far IMO.

watched it with the family while away on the Tues morning first showing.

All enjoyed it, and some great new characters in to the Marvel fold to watch

Watched the movie early this afternoon. Loved it. Very funny but also paved the way for the start of Infinity war. Chris Helmsworth is really great at comedic delivery and every single scene with Hulk was superb (the the rock monster with the New Zealand accent cracked me up laugh )

also loved the Matt Damon cameo. Brilliantly random and showed a complete lack of ego

Watched it today and loved it too. Chortling away at all the innuendo in it.

Watched it today and it was great, Korg was brilliant and I really loved the humour.

I think Korg was voices by the boy from hunt for the wilderpeople and also the grandmasters assistant is the crazy child welfare woman from the same film.

Not a bad film, but they really could have dialled down some of the humour. The start of the film where he was hanging off the chains almost seemed like blooper clips to me.

Booked for tomorrow! Can't wait. Is the 8o's sounding synth track featured in the trailer part of the soundtrack?

Korg is voiced by Taika Waititi, who directed both films.

On reflection I think this was probably my favourite MCU film. I love that they bring in a director known for his quirky Kiwi sensibility and let him really express his voice, Korg was just brilliant. From what I’ve seen of Black Panther that seems to be similarly individual yet within the constraints of the MCU.

I didn’t find the humour jarring at all, but then I really enjoyed the first two and thought they had a lot of humour. Hemsworth is brilliant at the deadpan gags. Bringing the style of Guardians into the wider MCU was always going to be a bit of a strange mix but this film bridges that gap nicely, I can now completely see Thor and Starlord getting along, for example.

I didn't find the humour jarring, but.....

....the killing off of some major characters including Odin and the Warriors three just didn't seem to have the impact it should have. Considering the first two movies spent time setting their relationship up as a very special and deeply held friendship, Thor didn't seem to know about or acknowledge the fact that his friends had been killed at the hands of Hella. It could have easily been woven into the story. Just before he goes full 'god of thunder on her' in the final fight - she could have made a flippant one line remark about dispatching his friends so easily - the realisation that his friends were dead could have been the tipping point.

The humour was good - it just came at the expense of what should have been more emotional/dramatic parts of the story. The balance just wasn't quite right for me, unlike GotG

The Thor films are easily the worst MCU films, still not seen Thor2, the last time I managed 10 minutes before I had to turn it off.
Hemsworth, I do not think is particular good at comedy (going off previous efforts) but he plays the golden spoon moron impeccably, and some lines are delivered well for that character.
However, because they seem to have gone all GotG here, I am really keen on seeing this now.
However, I hope the prediction that MCU will now make all Marvel films the same is an incorrect one, since Winter SOldier is the other stand out offering in the universe. Of they learn one thing, it's to allow the directors to experiment and do different styles/genre without the hero thing.
