Last nights one was different, many to be recalled to prison.

I wish our courts / justice system would change and give some decent / lengthy sentences out!!!

He was probably from the Morris Minor Owners Club. biggrin

Good to see the Land Cruiser waddling into view with it's massive tow bar on the back.
Derbyshire Police seem to have all sorts on their fleet.

In the collision with the motorcyclist, it seemed to be a bit over the top to say that the car involved would be written off - from the (admittedly brief) look of it, and the fact that the door still opened, it appeared that a new door and front wing, maybe a bonnet, would have it sorted.

Bloke that came down to retrieve his car when his partner was stopped for no license and no insurance was unpleasant.

I was a bit surprised that moment passed without much comment. "He's just collided with the back of a Morris Minor" can't be something they get on many pursuits.

Yep!! Then you wait to hear the update.. yeah they were let out on bail. As someone who is the general public, I'm fed up with hearing that. To me it says, free to go out and do it again and again. I know they have to gather evidence etc, but a scrote is a scrote!

The dregs to be honest.
To me, no licence and no insurance should be an instant two years in jail. That would be a decent deterrent, but oh jails are full etc!!

They should keep the car for at least 30 days if it happens more than once, if it happens over and over again the car should be confiscatred

Watching it now. Motorcyclist on the deck, spinal injuries, laid there in p*ssing rain for TWO HOURS awaiting an ambo. Traffic cop eventually leaving to go and fetch a spinal board from the ambo station round the corner. Utter disgrace, UK is f***ed.

As luck would have it he returned with an ambo in tow, but what an utter shambles.

cjs racing.

I'm getting very angry watching this.

He also tried to minimise the incident saying "maybe the car driver isn't used to driving in the rain" WELL THEY SHOULDN'T BE ON THE ROAD THEN.

I was tasked to a motorist having a full blown cardiac arrest, no ambulances, police or fire available, air ambulance couldn't fly due to bad weather and signs were faulty. I lead in the patrol car whilst my colleague followed driving the patients car with him in the passenger seat. Took him to the nearest community hospital as even though it didn't have an A&E department, it did have a volunteer mobile trauma doctor team based there. They managed to stabilise him with the correct drugs until an ambulance arrived to take him to the nearest cardiac unit 30 miles away. It was partly the reason why all Highways traffic patrol cars now carry defibrillators.

You can’t argue with that. Fair play to you, Sir.

Fake Stoney (I assume) and an attitude. Nothing if not typical.

I am rather impressed by how a 20-year old Corolla holds up in a smash but the occupants are an absolute drain on society. What kind of mother would agree to transporting their child to a pub to get drunk before leaving with the same driver? Curious that all three drivers received different sentences; did the driver who voluntarily reported to the police station receive the shortest sentence?

It's incredible how the woman in the house who started on the defensive about the silver Golf was eliminated from enquiries given just how guilty her reaction appeared.

I would guess:

16yrs for the Corolla driver who caused the accident
14yrs for the driver who took the Corolla driver away - assisting an offender
12yrs for other driver

The mother should have got penalised as well for knowingly endangering her child.

Pretty sure the sentences were months not years but it would have sent the right message (for a change)

I actually thought it was a Fiesta at first when it came out of nowhere and hit the truck.

It could have gone completely the other way, their child could have died FFS!!! Boozing it, can't navigate their way out of the car park without crashing. Then racing each other. Crashing, legging it, then getting into one of the other cars.

I think the sentences were pathetic!! This comment might get removed (sobeit if it does) the parents were complete scum. If the child had died it would have been, rest in peace angel, blah blah blah. NOT your pond life dad was a complete c*** who decided to go drink driving with you in the car.
