Is coming back in May.
Ahead of that I'm watching again from the beginning on Sky box sets.
My word, one forgets just how bloody good it is. The haunting music still provokes my wife to tears so disturbed was she back in the day.
I'm loving it. Watch it again if you saw it first time round. I am seeing so much more in it now. If you haven't, do yourself a favour.

Did anyone actually see this last night?
Despite some initial reservations, mainly in terms of whether they could pull it off, whether the actors would continue to gel and whether it would "work" - plus with a different look/feel mainly down to HD picture and a less warm colour rendering - overall it really was fantastic and as "off the wall" as ever. Let's hope the rest of the series delivers!
Slightly depressing how some have aged (inevitably) or worse, especially when you're so used to them in S1 and S2; yet at the same time, others have aged very well.
ETA: It's on Sky Atlantic - I took out a Now TV subscription for £7pm, no contract. You can either get a 14 day free trial, or two months half price. I also found a voucher code online too, so whichever way you cut it, a bit of a bargain. Can watch either on a Now TV box or online. Seems to work well!

That's good to hear.
I have seen clips through a fan page on facebook but I am working my way through the original series before starting this one.
Very much looking forward to it.

But let's keep the spoilers to a minimum? Or hidden?

I'd also keep the following in mind, as a reminder of the end of S2 (these aren't spoilers) that will help understand S3 E1&2:
- remember Cooper is possessed, or rather replaced, by his doppelganger at the end of S2
- Cooper himself (his soul?) is therefore presumably stuck in the Black Lodge
- there was also a doppelganger of Laura Palmer and I think also the dwarf?
- remember the bearded man, who cut off his arm - his arm was in fact the "Man from Another Place" (the dwarf).
- at the end of FWWM the dwarf puts his arm on the one-armed man, therefore linking up once more and becoming "the arm"
Also, the following points:
- Josie is dead (or in a drawer pull?!)
- Annie is in the Black Lodge
- Audrey was in the bank that blew up
- Nadine went back to "normal"
That's all!

How so? That was a recap of the end of S2 to help make the start of S3 make more sense - clearly it was always going to follow on from the end of S2. If you haven't seen S2 by now, then tough st.
My other points had little or no relevance to S3 E1&2, however they may become pertinent and they are facts that may easily be forgotten - but again may make sense going forward.

Can you imagine presenting these snippets as a plot for a book or movie or TV series. - remember Cooper is possessed, or rather replaced, by his doppelganger at the end of S2
- Cooper himself (his soul?) is therefore presumably stuck in the Black Lodge

Do you think it started out with that in mind or that or they just made it up as they went along?
Sort of introduced some weirdness and saw the fans liked it or realised they had massive holes in the plot so made up stuff about doppelgängers and dwarfs.
