Carol has hands?

To be honest - I've not watched it - I imagined it would be terrible, but I'll catch up later.

Surprisingly good. The format basically works regardless of who's on it.

I enjoyed both of those.

Kind of agree with the above, definitely with Jo Brand as she's the biggest fun sponge of a comedian I've ever known, just irritating!

Baddiel wasn't that bad, he just seemed utterly incompetent like he had no idea why he was there or what he was supposed to be doing. I suspect he'd never seen and not even bothered to research the show.

I thought the NY special was OK, there's a reason they use comedians though and it does show in these specials that just lack that bit of extra which makes the show work.

I'm no fan of Jo Brand, but it was quite good with her on it. Watching her & David Baddiel was quite funny.

The none comedians who really throw themselves into it on the specials are the stars, eg Shirley Ballas.

This special left me a bit cold tbh, you just don't get the time to get to know and love, or of course hate.

I've been catching up with Taskmaster recently. Looking forward to the new season.

Season 8 and 9 are the low points for me and I still enjoyed them.

I'm a bit of a TM obsessive but I'm not feeling this lot, even that trailer looked weak.

Last series was one of, if not the best yet so they've got a tough act to follow. Still giddy for it though...

I agree, but an off series of Taskmaster is still much better TV than most other things.

It was mentioned on the radio the other day that they've signed up for another six series.

The video title says 30th March for the new series. Yay.

There's also this AMA video with Alex. Series 15 will be all done so they're probably filming series 16 tasks or a special.

They generally film two series in one go and usually at the start of the year I think.

I’d imagine 16 was filmed last year and they have just filmed 17 and 18.

Glad it’s got another 6 series smile

Interesting the lack of love for a Frankie Boyle series?

I accept that, other than Jenny Eclair (who I hope doesn’t “Jo Brand” it) I’m not too familiar with the other contestants, but finally Frankie!

Strong possibility of decent studio segments if he’s allowed free reign.

Frankie went off the boil about 10 years ago and just went a bit odd, lost what made him so unique and went down a weird route of being all self righteous which was the complete opposite of what he was. Being a funny stand up and a comedian doesn't necessarily translate to being funny in TM too so he could go either way. I hope he turns up and is funny AF but he's far from being a dead cert like the likes of Bob Mortimer was, as you say I think the studio will be his forte.

I agree about Jenny Eclair, the trailer doesn't give much hope.

Ivo Graham I feel will have a Nish Kumar/Joe Thomas/David Baddiel quality to him. Clever and funny guy, Eton educated but he's that intellectually smart but zero common sense sort of clever about him. He's actually the only one I'm really looking forward to seeing.

Mae Martin I know little about other than she's Canadian, a comedian/actor and she's bi.... I also think she's a they/them but I don't go in for that BS

Kiell I also know little about other than from Ghosts.

So yeah, only really one person I'm properly keen to see which probably means it'll be incredible and the best series so far....

I think Ivo might be fun. I'd like to see him do a team task with Frankie.

Also, does anyone know why the series with the lovely Morgana never seems to be shown as a repeat?
