Hope the series is as good as the better series have been. The Tim Keys series was dire!
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you mean the Tim Vine series (6). They’ve all been Tim Key series in one guise or another, and you’d be a madman to think series 1 was poor Hope the series is as good as the better series have been. The Tim Keys series was dire!

Series 1 had Keys as a contestant.
Series 6 was the worst, closely followed by 9 and then 8 IMO!
EVERY other series has been brilliant!
Taskmaster just goes to prove we are all different and ranking of series depends on who you do or don't like. It seems series 6 gets a bit of a pounding and a lot of negativity towards Liza Tarbuck, yet the task where she got Alex to sit bare arsed on a cream cake was stupendously funny.
I'm sure there must be some who find Jo Brand funny, but personally the endless, "I'm fat and lazy, men are st, but cakes oooh lovely" is worn thinner than a very thin thing. Series 9 was indeed below par, the continual annoyance at Brand, not to mention Baddiel's never ending stupidity but was finally lifted by the last task on the final show.
Best series for me is a tie between S5 (Aisling Bea, Bob Mortimer, Sally Phillips) and S7 with Rhod Gilbert's endless trolling of the Taskmaster, especially Greg's face at seeing his Mum in the bath wearing a fez.

Brand: "Something something my Husband" (pulls disdainful look and pauses for laughter)She at least had her moments in the tasks, Baddiel was just awful throughout.

I loved the one with Tarbuck in it (6. Also like 7 - BOSH!).
Least favourite is tricky. Possibly series 8 or 9 - though series 5 is in with a shout as I think Nish Kumar is a complete bellend.
Thoughts on 8 or 9 could be being prejudiced by getting more familiar with what's coming as it's been running for so many series now.

Brand was by far the worst contestant EVAR. she couldnt be bothered.
Last Christmas I saw her in panto at the Richmond theatre. (OH YES I DID!).
She ruined that production too. She had no energy and brought the whole thing down.
Useless.
Having her AND Baddiel on the same episode was dreadful.. how that man even manages to dress himself in the morning!?Last Christmas I saw her in panto at the Richmond theatre. (OH YES I DID!).

I wonder how the move to CH4 will change the show, if it all
This first series will be a bit different because of Covid, I posted a Den of Geek link and there's no audience for this series in the studio parts, and they will be spaced out not sitting next to each other. Hopefully things are more normal when they get to the next series after this.FourWheelDrift said:

O/T, but thanks for that link, interesting to see what's coming, albeit with lots of undecided dates. I thought they'd forgotten about a second series of "Taboo", and hoped they'd forgotten about a second series of "McMafia".Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
