Here's 2 truly rofl video clips from episode 9 - most of which did not make the transmitted programme, even right up to the end hehe

You don't get contestants on quiz shows giving comedy answers, :
There was a bloke on The Chase a few weeks ago who decided to try and be funny - he referenced "Fanny Chemlar" which, if you haven't done before, I urge you to look up online as the video of Bradley Walsh smirking is hilarious.

He got a few laughs, but then the smug git got beaten in Chaser round and eliminated, so no prize money for him!

Phil & James with the Hula Hoop too laugh I think we could have done without the slow motion close up in Phil's case though hehe
The editing of the film of hula hoop on Phil's Wang... laugh

As for the comedians vs normal people, compare the last series where they had a load of radio presenters with this one, or the one before (Sally Phillips / Bob Mortimer) with the last and you can immediately see the difference

Thanks for those.

I watched that episode on the train and even the broadcast version had me in tears.

I now must get tickets for a series. It's the best thing on TV.

I won't say who won as it's just been on and is still on Dave ja vu now.

But Rhod Gilbert on the tying yourself up task was pure evil genius hehe

A great end to a great series.

I was unable to watch it live, so had recorded it ..... then came to watch it and for some reason it 'hung' just before the start of the opening!

Just so glad that it was downloadable (would have missed most of it watching live on the +1 channel)

Best season since it started? Must be close - especially based on the final episode. It will be interesting to see who they get for S8.

The classic video game recreations were excellent - especially James doing Grand Theft Auto laugh

You had a feeling when they intro'd the tie yourself up task, that the alarm would sound at some point - the reaction from James was fantastic laugh

Who thought it would be just 1 point at the end - all thanks to a laminator & a game of sausage fingers on the night - BOSH!! hehe

James' GTA recreation was fantastic, loved all the little random sideways jumps etc. Was half expecting him to take Alex in the caravan though and get it rockin' for a power boost.

Great series, defo one of the best. But I used to love the cunning little tasks that would have a hidden clue/tool/solution somewhere obvious, they don't seem to be doing that as much any more.

The gaming thing left me completely nonplussed, the only one I recognised was Tetris. Rhod was brilliant on the tying up and the looks on their faces at the 5 minute point was utterly superb. I love the way they film it over months and leave these hanging challenges that they forget about. Pity they didn't do the "one person only" challenge this series, would have been great seeing Acaster losing his st if it was him.

There was the big 8 painted on the caravan for the satsuma in the sock task. One thing they didn't do this time was getting one of them to do something that the others didn't. I think one was counting the number of baked beans in a tin.

Rhod's Space Invaders was brilliant. In fact, he was the star of the series for me. Maybe it's an age thing, but he was the one who more often than not came up with something completely different to the others, a bit like Bob Mortimer previously.

Brilliant last episode, and a great series overall.

No doubt it won't be long before series 8 is on, probably around February I expect? will be good to see them top this last series for sure

Also, from what I understand, they film more tasks than make it to the show sometimes. Ones they try don't always work out when they try and edit it together. Some of which I think used to manifest itself in the "single person" challenges we saw. I can't imagine watching 5 different competitors count baked beans would be that much fun, but seeing Josh Widdicombe do it and then learn he was the only one who did was much more amusing

As was seeing Aisling Bea's Mum being seconded to be the only one taking photographs of that gold pineapple thing.

Rhod's Space Invaders was brilliant, as was Jessica's Mario Kart. Acaster's Grand Theft Auto was a bit lost on me due to never having played it, though family expressed disappointment with the disgraceful lack of prostitutes.

For me this has been the most consistently entertaining show on the telly for the past couple of years.

The guests are generally excellent - i have quite a thing for Sally Philips and Katherine Ryan and people like Bob Mortimer and James Acaster are among my favourite funny people.

As an aside James Acaster has a 4 part show on Netflix called Repertoire which is really excellent - as is his book which is one of the funniest things I've ever read.

No! You have to watch all 4 as he way he weaves all the weirdly disparate elements together is brilliant.

I think best series so far? Bob Mortimer and Sally Phillips also brilliant but can't remember who else was on with them. Although I still think the tasks in the first few series were better and more open.
