i thought s2e2 was a bit meh
Couldnt care about Bortas, would like to have seen more of the aliens
No way could they not fit a few more in the shuttle,or all the kids-there was lots of room. Would like to have seen Bortas say "screw it" & fit all of them in & risk the take off, would have made a better story IMHO

Agreed, but presumably there is a maximum take-off mass.

First thing I said to my wife - "what? They could have plenty more standing in their, look!". We howled at the Bortas story though. Cringey, like watched Ted was.

Nah, she'd just waste time arguing, then scowling a lot.

I've just watched Episode 3 and whilst I enjoyed it..

I don't understand the reason for the actress leaving the show who plays Alara. Has she quit? Been fired? Both seem odd given that she went out with an entire episode dedicated to her... there's no mention of it online other than "its open for her to come back"

Good to see "Joe Swanson" get a character though

No reasons have been given as far as I can tell, although she is apparently dating Seth MacFarlane at the moment (jammy git). Not sure why that would require her to leave the show though, unless it was causing problems on set somehow.

Watched S2EP4 and we have a returning character! Not who you expect though. Some have said it follows Discovery a bit but I think the Plot has been used prior to Discovery as well.

I read somewhere that it was a scheduling conflict with filming something else but that seems to no longer be the reason, everything seems to point to know public reason why. I would bank on an announcement of her appearing in something else soon enough.

Filming / scheduling conflict with Netflix's The Last Summer, as far as I could find out. That's now in post-production, so the timing does align.

Watched episode 3 (season 20 last night. Thought it was very good, pure Star Trek feel to it, with enough lighthearted humour.

Just watching what I think is E5 but seems to be labelled E6. Have they done an actress switcheroo? There's a newbie on the bridge with loads of lines and I think she had the same kind of alien bits as Elaria is it, the strong one. Not sure if it's 'her' or not.

Confusing.

Also, halfway through so it may turn into Armageddon but otherwise more sitcom schmaltz rolleyes

It's a different actress & character although from the "same planet" as Alaria.

So it is.

Episode was a steaming pile though. Finger wavering over the unlink option sadly. Gah.

Yeah you have missed her arrival then! E6 was in the US this week. Thought it was a good one actually.

I've seen them all as acquired, ahem. E6 is the one with Dr and Robot... Right? And you enjoyed it?
