Indeed. But to fair they probably should have gone with something like this from the start. It’s biggest problem was trying to squeeze an unknown, galaxy changing story into such a heavily cannon reliant series.
The “we shall never speak of it again” deus ex machina at the end of last season of not highlighted this more!

Picard is infinitely better. Discovery's main problem is each and everyone of the characters is intensely irritating and dislikeable.DanL said:
