Is this series the story of section 31? Is NCC 1031 a coincidence?

The spore drive spin is still gay though.

Episode 6 was better. However Michael still looks like she hasn’t found the toilets on the USS Discovery hehe
there aren't any.. they just use the transporters smile
Would save on toilet paper I guess. Unless they abuse some other poor life form and force it to be an arse cleaner.
well, seeing as tribbles are born pregnant.. you can consider them self cleaning.. always ready for a quick wipe hehe
Good for getting rid of those Klingons getmecoat

Interesting that the Enterprise was mentioned in E6, in fact has someone clever done a timeline plot thing or all the series?

Edit: yup!

Just watched the first one of these.

It isn't Star Trek. Not even close.

It's like Bernard Manning once said: "If a dog is born in a stable, that doesn't make it a horse".

Exactly. You've made your mind up, so kindly don't watch more and come back and complain about them.

I have made up my mind and I won't watch any more.

Apologies for not realising that only people who liked it were allowed to comment.

Had the title been "Star Trek: Discovery - New series on Netflix - Once it's on TV please only reply if you think it's good." I wouldn't have made that mistake.

Episode 7, another really good one, lots of good character development, some great fun touches and a very Star Trek type story, enjoy

I think people just get fed up with the same old posters coming back week after week to moan.

Nobody’s picking on you in particular as, to my knowledge, thats your first post in this thread. I’ll point it out to you when it happens next. Probably within the next few days as those sort of posters don’t normally follow the thread - they like to just jump in with their opinion. A drive-by trolling if you like smile

Surely they are allowed to comment on watching the first episode. What’s wrong with you???

If lots of people are repeatedly saying the same thing. Do you not even for a second thing it merit some worth?

If Porsche released a fwd diesel hatchback based on a Golf but still tried to pass it off as 100% Porsche. Do you not think people may have a lot to say about it. Even if there were those that really liked it.

You just keep coming back, to say the same old stuff, week after week.

Do you not realise how ridiculous that is?

Some of us like the show and would like a thread where we can discuss it without people like you popping up every week and telling us how mucch you dislike it. If you don't like it, don't watch it and don't come into a thread specifically to moan.

Write to the producers or something, or start a thread of your own called 'I hate the new Star Trek Series Whaa Whaa Whaa <Snowflake>'

Yeah, for a week or two, maybe a month?

After that STFU.

Please.

People moaning it's not Star Trek, it's got spaceships, Star Fleet, uniforms, aliens including Vulcans and Klingons and a ships crew that is getting more fleshed out and interesting with each new episode, seems to have the basic ingredients of Trek to me.

Just because it has a slightly darker tone, doesn't mean it's not Trek and after 5 other series of mostly fluffy feel good Trek, I like the fact that this has taken things in a bit of a new direction, it's a breath of fresh air.

I love that almost none of the characters are black and white, especially the captain and Burnham. While I do enjoy some of the other series, most of the characters in the previous ones are goody two shoes to the point of being sickening at times and I like the fact this show has introduced some proper grey areas for a lot of the characters. It's certainly Trek enough for me without being exactly the same as what has gone before.

If you want to watch the same old Trek, the repeats of any one of the 5 other series can usually be found on at least one channel on any given day.

Mr Beef. Please show me a single post were I have said I dislike it?

And the poster you/that was attacked above started their comment saying they had just watched the first episode. Which is hardly a criminal offence.
