Paul Hollywood is not my favourite celeb, but I thoroughly enjoyed the programme. Will definitely watch again,
TBF he comes across as a starstruck enthusiast like any one of us would in that scenario, but from what I read he's an OK bloke who can't quite get over his luck. Remember it could have been so, so much worse: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00g82ff

Thumbs up from the Noisy jury too, one of those ought-to-hate-but-can't chaps being apparently genuinely enthusiastic.
Agreed, I don't think he did a particularly great job (didn't manage to say very much of anything while driving the Pagani) and seemed hugely awkward with the "Style" woman (trying to chat her up with Fiat 500 roof facts was a bit cringeworthy...) But was likeable for it - seemed to enjoy what he was doing and looked to be genuinley enjoying himself, like most genuine car enthusiasts would.Any show that features one of the nicest cars I've ever owned , the sublime Alfasud, is OK by me . Looks quaint now but after driving what else was on the market back then it was a revelation.
And the most beautiful car ever made too - the achingly lovely Miura . E Type ? Get outta here....
The irony is that if you want to see supercars you'lll see more in five minutes in SW1 than you ever will in Italy. On many visits the only place I've seen lots was - surprise - Maranello .

I was driving through the hills of Emilia-Romagna a couple of years ago and encountered three Ferraris, including one in camouflage. We were staying in the area for over a week, but I never saw them again And the most beautiful car ever made too - the achingly lovely Miura . E Type ? Get outta here....

Never owned one but the then girlfriend back in 1980 had a 1.5 Sprint iirc and we drove to Monaco that year for the GP. A truly wonderful experience. On return my car was hors de combat so a mate lent me his Morris Ital for a couple of days whilst mine was fixed. Talk about chalk and cheese. Spotted a repeat of this on BBC2 last night but I fell asleep AGAIN ,only this time even earlier ,during the Huracan piece.
Luckily I woke up at the end of the Ape bit and saw from the Alfa 6C MM onwards.
He didn't embrace "la passione" properly ,his pronunciation of pista Lingotto came out as "pisster"......
Should have made him say that again with a bit more Italian flare.....

I like Hollywood, just a normal bloke done good in awe of where he is. Just like we would be if given the keys to many exotics.
His programme on racing Astons was decent IMO a little while back.
One negative for me, when he said that the Alfasud was the worst car Alfa ever produced!!! That's way off the mark and completely wrong.
People always beat on about the Golf GTi being the first hot hatch, it wasn't, it was the Alfasud. Lots of thought went into the dynamics of the Sud which made it a good drivers car. Sure, it had it's foibles with build quality, but what didn't in those days.
Anyhow, off my soapbox. I enjoyed the programme.

Oddly, the earlier Alfasuds were saloons, they didn't get a hatch until 1981.
