Jealous! That Italian was lovely too!

This is what I thought the Grand Tour was going to be, rather than just Top Gear in a tent.

Really enjoyed it again, in fact I'd say I've enjoyed both episodes more than I did TGT

Enjoyed it also...did one of the cars that we saw a brief glimpse having a little "off" at the Ring have a PH sticker on it?

+1. I think the new Top Gear missed a trick by not showing what each country had to offer with regards to cars, roads etc. Anyway.....

I really enjoyed the Italian episode but missed the latest one. I assume it's on iPlayer so will catch up with it at some point.

bow Didn't think I'd like a celeb-chef-does-a-car-show, but Hollywood has done good on this. I think there are only 3 episodes - shame he didn't do a longer series, maybe including all the car building countries in Europe.
I preferred this to TG, both the final, rather stale, Clarkson shows, definitely the ginger wker 'era', & also the most recent series.
A really good effort - the BBC should seriously consider this over TG in the future.

Roll on the France episode!

Oh, & thank fk we don't get a 50 Euro fine for hooting unnecessarily!

Perhaps this was seen a pilot project to test the viewer reaction. From what I can gather it has been very well received, not just here on P'Heads, which although it's a car forum can be harsh, but in the wider media. I like the format, a few nice cars but some oddities too, so it's not all flash stuff, a guest like the Italian lady and Al Murray and a bit of jeopardy to make it real like getting a go in the very latest model after sweet talking the manufacturer's PR people. I am sure it's something that could be developed for a proper run.
